Roasting apparatus and control method therefor
The present disclosure relates to a roasting apparatus and a method of controlling the roasting apparatus, and more particularly, to a roasting apparatus for roasting objects while stirring the objects in a roasting chamber, and a method of controlling the roasting apparatus. An roasting apparatus for heating objects according to the present disclosure includes a roasting chamber part which includes: a cylindrical roasting chamber that extends in a vertical direction and has an internal space in which the objects are stirred; and a rotary stirring part that rotates to stir the objects received in the roasting chamber and rotates about a stirring axis defined in the vertical direction. The roasting apparatus further includes heat source parts which supply heat to the roasting chamber part.

The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for drying and/or roasting beans for foodstuff, such as cocoa beans, or parts of beans, such as cocoa nibs, comprising a frame, a drum (2) for receiving the beans or parts of beans rotatably mounted in the frame and at least partially closed at one end (3) and open at the other (4), a shell (5) enveloping the drum (2), a door (7) for closing the open end (4) of the drum (2), a heater (19) for heating the drum (2), and a fan and a valve (26) for maintaining an under-pressure in the space (20) between the drum (2) and the shell (5). A seal (30) is located in the clearance between the drum (2) and the shell (5).

The present invention provides a bean roasting device, comprising: a drum unit comprising a base, a drum pivotally provided in the base and having a receiving space, and a rotation device provided on one side of the base and configured to drive the drum into rotation relative to the base; a heat lamp unit comprising a positioning seat connected to the base, one or a plurality of heat lamp tubes connected at one end to the positioning seat and extending into the receiving space, and one or a plurality of air inlet ducts each provided around a said heat lamp tube and configured to guide air into the receiving space of the drum; and an air supply/venting unit provided on one side of the base, the air supply/venting unit comprising an air guiding portion in communication with the receiving space of the drum and an air blower/air extractor provided on one side of the air guiding portion and configured to provide a positive pressure/negative pressure to the receiving space of the drum through the air guiding portion.
SOLAR THERMAL PROCESSING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
An agricultural product processing (roasting) system that uses solar power as the primary heat source. An embodiment includes two rotating hollow chambers for containing agricultural products, such as beans or nuts, during a roasting session. An array of heliostats concentrates reflected solar radiation onto the surface of each hollow chamber, typically one chamber at a time, while the other chamber is cooling or being serviced. The rotational velocity is controlled to ensure even heating from the solar heliostat array, and temperature and humidity sensors may be used to monitor and control the system. Various actuators control the rotational velocity, the opening or closing of vents or perhaps louvers, the directional pointing of the heliostat array, and the opening of a door to empty the hollow chamber after processing.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ROASTING COFFEE BEANS
The invention relates to an apparatus (1) and to a method for roasting coffee. The apparatus (1) comprises: a chamber (10) in which coffee beans can be received for roasting; a device (80) for roasting the coffee beans received in the chamber (10); a control unit configured to control the device (80), and one or more sensors (100) arranged to detect a condition of the air (200) that surrounds the apparatus (1). The control unit is configured to control the device (80) based on the detected condition.
COLOR-MONITORING ASSEMBLY FOR A ROASTING MATERIAL, ROASTER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR ROASTING THE ROASTING MATERIAL
A color monitoring arrangement includes a light sender, a light guide arrangement with a light guide which forwards a light beam emitted by the light sender to illuminate a product, and a light guide which forwards light reflected by the product to a light receiver, an optical device which applies the light beam to the product and the reflected light into the light guide arrangement, an evaluation unit which defines a color value for the product, and a measuring probe with first opening and a second opening opposite thereto. The color value is based on a quotient of reflection measurements of a light intensity of the light beam to a light intensity of the reflected light for two light wavelengths. The light guide arrangement is guided into the first opening into the measuring probe, and the optical device is arranged at the second opening of the measuring probe.

The invention concerns an apparatus (10) for roasting coffee beans comprising:a housing (4),a roasting chamber (1) presenting a bottom opening (11),an air driver (2) configured to drive air inside the roasting chamber through the bottom opening of said chamber,an electrical heater (3) positioned below the bottom opening of the roasting chamber, said electrical heater being configured to heat air driven inside the roasting chamber,the air driver and the electrical heater being positioned inside the housing (4) and the housing comprising a hot air outlet hole (41) designed to enable the passage of hot air from the housing inside the bottom opening (11) of the roasting chamber, and the electrical heater (3) being positioned just below the hot air outlet hole (41),the roasting chamber (1) being removably mounted to the housing (4), the bottom opening (11) of the roasting chamber cooperating with the hot air outlet hole (41) of the housing when the roasting chamber is mounted to the housing, wherein the apparatus comprises a movable closure device (5) configured:to cover the hot air outlet hole (41) while the roasting chamber is being removed from the housing, and - to uncover the hot air outlet hole (41) while the roasting chamber is being mounted to the housing.
CHANGING POSITIONAL ORIENTATIONS OF FOOD PRODUCTS ON CONVEYORS DURING ROASTING AND OTHER OPERATIONS
An apparatus, system and method for changing the positional orientations of peppers or other individual food product items or pieces on an open conveyor belt as the product items or pieces are being continuously conveyed through an apparatus for flame roasting, cooking, searing or otherwise treating the product. The open conveyor belt carries the peppers or other products over one or more air knives which are installed in the apparatus beneath the open conveyor belt for rolling, rotating, and/or momentarily lifting the product items or pieces.
BEAN ROASTING APPARATUS
A bean roasting apparatus with a stirring barrel body, a receiving structure and an image capturing assembly is provided. The stirring barrel body has an opening. The receiving structure has a bean-through opening and an observation opening. The image capturing assembly has at least one image capturing device and a reflective surface which is disposed in the capturing scope of the at least one image capturing device and is tilted facing the at least one image capturing device and the observation opening. Therefore, the at least one image capturing device can capture an image inside the receiving structure through the reflective surface and the observation opening. Another bean roasting apparatus with an image capturing assembly is provided, wherein at least one image capturing device of the image capturing assembly can capture an image inside the receiving structure through the observation opening directly.
