A coffee bean roaster includes a machine body, a roasting drum, a heating device, and a fan module. The machine body includes a casing, a receiving trough, a container, and a partition assembly disposed inside the casing and partitioning an inside of the casing into a first chamber, a second chamber, and a third chamber. The receiving trough is disposed outside the casing and communicates with the first chamber. The container disposed in the receiving trough has mesh holes communicating with the receiving trough. The roasting drum is rotatably disposed inside the second chamber of the casing. One side of the roasting drum has through holes communicating with the third chamber. The heating device is disposed inside the second chamber for heating the roasting drum. The fan module is attached to the casing for pumping air to the outside of the casing through the first chamber and the third chamber.

An assisting apparatus for bean roasting and a bean roasting apparatus are provided. The present invention senses sound in a chamber of a bean roasting device through a microphone to generate an audio signal, and control the bean roasting procedure by determining that the energy value of the audio signal crosses a threshold at a time point based on the observation time window.

An assisting apparatus for bean roasting and a bean roasting apparatus are provided. The assisting apparatus captures a scene in a chamber of the bean roasting device through an image capturing device to generate an image, compares the image with a historical roasting pattern set based on a plurality of color attributes of a color space to determine a roasting level represented by the image, and controls the bean roasting procedure.

A system for heating an object includes an electromagnetic radiation source emitting electromagnetic radiation, a first stage, a second stage, and a third stage. The object is placed into the first stage where it is struck by electromagnetic radiation to thereby heat the object. The object is then transported to the second stage which has a cooling fluid flowing therein. The object moves through the second stage to cool down subsequent to being struck by the electromagnetic radiation. Air and any particulate matter produced by the electromagnetic radiation striking the object in the first stage is transported to the third stage. In the third stage, electromagnetic radiation is used to incinerate some of the particulate matter. The air in the third stage is vented out of the third stage through a filter.
