LIQUID DISPENSING SPRAY NOZZLE ASSEMBLY FOR RAPIDLY PRODUCING SMALL SIZED DROPLETS OF HIGHLY VISCOUS LIQUIDS
A modular liquid distribution system in which each module has a module body, a spray nozzle, and a cyclically operable piston for controlling the dispensing of high viscous liquids from the spray nozzle. Each spray nozzle has a nozzle body with a liquid inlet and a tear dropped shaped pintle which together with the nozzle body defines an expansion chamber that reduces velocity of the liquid sufficient to be dispensed in small droplet form without splattering. In one embodiment, the nozzle body has a discharge orifice sized smaller than the outer diameter of the expansion chamber for accelerating liquid flow upon discharge sufficient to enhance consistent and repeatable breaks in the cyclically controlled fluid flow stream for enabling the discharge of smaller and more consistent volumes.
Applicator with a small nozzle distance
The disclosure concerns an applicator (e.g. printhead) for applying a coating agent (e.g. paint) to a component (e.g. motor vehicle body component), having at least one nozzle row with a plurality of nozzles for dispensing the coating agent in the form of a jet in each case, the nozzles being arranged along the nozzle row and in a common nozzle plane, and having a plurality of actuators for controlled release or closure of the nozzles. The disclosure provides that the individual actuators each have an outer dimension along the nozzle row which is greater than a nozzle distance along the nozzle row.
BELLOWS FLUID SEAL
A bellow seal of a fluid dispensing system is disclosed. The bellow seal having a generally circular cross section includes a first end having a first diameter. The bellow seal further includes a second end having a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter of the first end. The bellow seal further includes a contoured external surface extending between the first end and the second end. The external surface includes a cylindrical portion extending from the first end, an undulating portion, (which includes a convex portion extending from the cylindrical portion and a concave portion extending from the convex portion), and a tapered portion extending from the concave portion to the second end. The bellow seal further includes a flexible region defined between a first point located on the cylindrical portion and a second point located on the concave portion.
Systems and methods for spray application of glaze and other materials
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for automatically spraying a glaze solution onto a dental prosthesis. The automated spray glazing system includes: a first spray gun; a controller, and a gripper configured to hold the dental prosthesis and to rotate the dental prosthesis about an axis. The controller is configured to rotate the gripper and spray a glaze solution from the first spray gun using a glazing profile based at least in part on a type of the dental prosthesis. The glazing profile is selected such that a cross-sectional thickness of a resulting-glazed material of the dental prosthesis has an average thickness range between 15 to 63 μm and a standard deviation of less than 6 μm when measured at locations in an upper half of the dental prosthesis.
AIR SPRAY DEVICE FOR HETEROGENEOUS MIXTURE COATING SOLUTION, USING PULSE OPENING AND CLOSING OPERATIONS OF NEEDLE VALVE
The present invention relates to an air spray device for a heterogeneous mixture coating solution without a separate stirring device. The air spray device 100 comprises: a main body 110 provided with a heterogeneous mixture coating solution inlet 111 and an inlet 112 for compressed air from the outside; an extension block 120 coupled in a downwardly extended shape at the lower end of the main body; a nozzle assembly 130 coupled at the lower end of the extension block; a communication path 140 vertically formed in the centers of the main body, the extension block and the nozzle assembly; a needle valve 150 provided inside the communication path; and a plunger 160 formed in a plate shape to be positioned in proximity to the bottom side of the communication path of the extension block to stir the heterogeneous mixture coating solution.
Two component airless adhesive spray gun and method of use
A two part airless adhesive spray system is provided herein. This system provides numerous enhancements to the prior art including limiting overspray “fog,” saving on sprayed material because of a more efficient spray pattern, and providing a stronger bond than that of the air-atomized spray guns of the prior art.
Fluid valve, in particular a return valve for a painting system
Exemplary illustrations of a fluid valve, e.g., a return valve for returning residual paint, rinsing agent, and compressed air from a paint line when changing color in a painting system, are disclosed. An exemplary fluid valve may be adjusted between an open position, in which the fluid valve is at least partially open, e.g., for rinsing a paint line with a rinsing agent and for pressurizing the paint line with a new color for the color change, and a closed position, in which the fluid valve is closed, e.g., for applying the new color after the color change. An exemplary fluid valve may switch to the closed position, upon actuation by the medium thereof, e.g., medium flowing through or present in the valve. In another example, a fluid valve may close depending on the fluid present at the input side.
COMPRESSED-FLUID DISCHARGE CONTROL DEVICE
In a compressed-fluid discharge control device, there are formed a valve chamber communicated with a discharge channel and supply channels for supplying a compressed fluid, and a pilot chamber into which the compressed fluid is introduced from the supply channels. A diaphragm valve for communicating or cutting off communication of the supply channels and the discharge channel seats on or separates from a valve seat provided in the valve chamber. Pilot channels through which a compressed fluid supplied to the pilot chamber passes are formed in the diaphragm valve. The compressed-fluid discharge control device has a pilot chamber opening/closing valve for opening or closing the pilot chamber. The pilot chamber opening/closing valve includes a solenoid valve which is opened in response to energization thereof and closed in response to de-energization thereof.
METERING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A METERING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a dosing system (1) for dosing a dosing material. The dosing system (1) has a housing (11), comprising a nozzle (70) and a supply channel (62) for dosing material, and a discharge element (80) movably mounted in the housing (11) and an actuator unit (10) coupled to the discharge element. The actuator unit (10) comprises an actuator (12) having a membrane (13) which can be pressurized by means of a pressure medium in order to move the discharge element (80) in a discharge direction (RA). The discharge element (80) is formed separately and, for coupling to the actuator unit (10), is pressed by means of a force acting on the discharge element (80) against a side surface (19) of the membrane (13) pointing in the direction of the discharge element (80). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for controlling a dosing system (1).

A valve for use in conjunction with an application device having a valve housing and a valve spindle which bears a sealing element at a first free end outside the valve housing and, within the valve housing, is mounted displaceably between a closed position and a release position. The valve spindle includes at least one first piston element and at least one second piston element, wherein the first piston element is guided in a first piston space and the second piston element is guided in a second piston space, said piston spaces being bounded by the valve housing. A pressure fluid can be supplied in each case to the first piston space and to the second piston space in such a manner that a force acting in the same direction is exerted on the first piston element and on the second piston element.
