TREATMENT OF MST1 RELATED DISEASES AND DISORDERS

Disclosed herein are compositions comprising an oligonucleotide that targets MST1. The oligonucleotide may include a small interfering RNA (siRNA) or an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO). Also provided herein are methods of treating conditions associated with MST1 variants that include providing an oligonucleotide that targets MST1 to a subject.

METHOD FOR TETRAPLOID INDUCTION IN FISH

Disclosed herein are aspects of a method for inducing tetraploid production in fish eggs, to produce a population of tetraploid fish. The method may comprise selecting fish eggs at a desired first cleavage interval and exposing the eggs to a pressure shock to induce tetraploidy. Also disclosed herein are methods of using tetraploid fish to produce a sterile population of fish, for example for aquaculture or to reduce a population of an invasive species in a water system.

MOUSE MODEL FOR RETINA DEGENERATION AND USES THEREOF

Provided herein are irradiated mouse models which recapitulate the effects of ionizing radiation-induced microglia activation, eye injury and retinal degeneration, as well as methods for producing such mouse models. These mouse models are useful, for example, for the study of genes involved in the pathophysiology of retinal degeneration and for the development of methods for treating retinal degeneration in humans.
