Liner-based dispenser
The present disclosure, in one embodiment, relates to a dispenser including a dispense assembly having a head assembly, and also including a collapsible liner that contains a material to be dispensed, the liner detachably secured to the dispense assembly with the head assembly in fluid communication with the liner, wherein the material in the liner is dispensed out the liner and through the head assembly.
SPRAY TIP AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A spray tip comprises a tip body, a tip piece, and a pre-orifice piece. The tip body has a fluid channel along a channel axis (A.sub.C). The tip piece is disposed within the fluid channel, and has a stepped, narrowing passage that terminates in an outlet orifice. The pre-orifice piece has an inlet passage, and is disposed within the fluid channel, abutting and immediately upstream of the tip piece. The pre-orifice piece and the tip piece together define a turbulating chamber therebetween.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AN AEROSOL FOR INHALATION BY A PERSON
An electronic device for producing an aerosol for inhalation by a person includes a mouthpiece, a liquid container, and a mesh assembly having a mesh material and a piezoelectric material. The mesh material is in contact with a liquid of the container. The mesh material is configured to vibrate when the piezoelectric material is actuated, whereby the aerosol is produced. The aerosol may be inhaled through the mouthpiece. The device also includes circuitry and a power supply for actuating the mesh assembly. The mouthpiece, the container, and the mesh assembly are located in-line along a longitudinal axis of the device between opposite longitudinal ends of the device, with the mesh assembly extending between and separating the mouthpiece and the container. The mesh material has a rigidity that is sufficient to prevent oscillations of varying amplitudes during actuation of the piezoelectric material of the mesh assembly for consistently producing the aerosol.
System, cartridge and process
A cartridge for a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, for dispensing a medicament composed of or produced from a plurality of components and a system including a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, and such a cartridge. The cartridge includes at least two fluidically separated chambers which each contain at least one component of the medicament, an actuating mechanism for fluidically connecting the chambers and mixing the components for the dispensing of the medicament. A method for preparing a medicament composed of a plurality of components in a cartridge for the dispensing of said medicament by way of a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, where a plurality of fluidically separated chambers of the cartridge are fluidically connected, and a component of the medicament is at least partially transferred from one of the chambers to another of the chambers with another component of the medicament in order to mix the components. Only once the components have been mixed is the cartridge opened for the extraction of a dose of the medicament.
Aerosol refill cartridge
An apparatus for dispensing material through a refillable cartridge, comprising a container having a receptacle for receiving a refill cartridge, the container having a lid cooperating with the container to enclose the refill cartridge, the container further comprising an exit port and a channel for communicating material from the refill cartridge to the exit port, and a valve for controlling the flow of material out of the refill cartridge; and a reusable, refill cartridge sized to be received in the receptacle, the refill cartridge including compressed gas and material separated by a bi-conical thruster, the refill cartridge further comprising a first end having a material inlet and outlet manifold, and a second end having a compressed gas inlet. The system's performance can be improved by applying a surface treatment to the wetted surfaces of the system to change the physical properties at the fluid/vessel interface.
Pressurized viscous condiment dispenser
User-selectable volumes of a viscous condiment such as ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are consistently dispensed from a pressurized vessel. The vessel is pressurized using a small air pump, a cylinder of compressed gas or an external gas source. Pressure in the vessel is kept constant by sensing the pressure using a MEMS pressure transducer. Condiment flows from the pressurized vessel into a flexible tube, which passes through an electrically-actuated pinch valve. For a given pressure in the vessel, the amount of condiment to be dispensed is determined by the time that the pinch valve is open. A processor monitors the pressure, actuation of a user interface and controls operation of the air pump.
Apparatus for supplying liquid and system for supplying liquid including the same
A liquid supply apparatus includes: a chamber configured to contain a liquid; an injector disposed on a first side of the chamber and configured to spray the liquid; and a piston extending from a second side of the chamber toward an interior of the chamber, wherein the chamber includes a first area configured to store the liquid; and a second area between the first area and the injector, and wherein the piston is configured to selectively seal or transfer the liquid between the first area and the second area, and press the liquid in the second area to expel the liquid from the liquid supply apparatus.
POWERED SPRAY DISPENSER
A spray dispenser container includes a housing having a first end portion, a second end portion, a sidewall extending between the first end portion and the second end portion, and a cavity at least partially surrounded by the sidewall; a pump assembly in fluid communication with a replaceable composition container including a composition, the pump assembly being disposed within the cavity; an actuator in operative communication with the pump assembly; a nozzle in fluid communication with the pump assembly; and a motor in operative communication with the actuator. Furthermore, when the spray dispenser container is rotated 360 along the vertical plane, the pump assembly maintains fluid communication with the replaceable composition container such that the composition can be dispensed throughout the 360 rotation.
Device for supplying a composition to a pressurized deposition system
A device for dispensing a fluid topical composition includes a reservoir storing the composition and dispensing a pressurized flow of the composition. The device also includes an accumulator having an expandable chamber in fluidly communication with the reservoir. The chamber is biased towards a deflated configuration so that, when filled with the composition the chamber expands against this bias applying pressure to the composition stored therein. The device includes a supply valve regulating the flow of the composition from the reservoir to the accumulator, and a pressure sensor. The device further includes a processing arrangement analyzing data from the sensor to determine whether pressure in the accumulator is above a predetermined threshold and controlling the supply valve to maintain the pressure within a desired pressure range. The device also includes a deposition arrangement dispensing the composition from the accumulator under control of the processing arrangement.
POWER TOOL ATTACHMENT
A power tool attachment is configured to connect to a power tool at a static interface and a dynamic interface. The static interface statically fixes the power tool and power tool attachment together. The dynamic interface provides rotational motion generated by the power tool to the power tool attachment. The rotational motion is provided to a drive of the power tool attachment that converts the rotational motion to an output that operates an appliance output of the power tool attachment.
