INJECTION HEAD FOR EXCITATION OF FLUID
The invention provides a head for a fluid excitation device in which a transducer comprising a vibration generation portion and a fluid excitation portion is secured to a flexible substrate using an adhesive layer located between the vibration generation portion and the flexible substrate. An external force-applying structure is not needed to secure the vibration generation portion to the fluid excitation portion, removing a cause of significant vibration damping. Rather than damping the vibrations generated by the transducer, the flexible substrate instead itself moves in co-operation with the transducer, reducing damping effects. The design and manufacture of this arrangement is relatively simple and no complex tuning is required to ensure efficient operation over the entire operational life of the head. The head can be used in a fluid excitation device such as an atomiser or ultrasonic bath.
Insufflation system
An aerosol generator is positioned adjacent to a patient as an attachment to a trocar. The trocar has an entry port for insufflation gas. Aerosol generated by a vibrating element is entrained in the insufflation gas and the mixture is delivered through the trocar. The aerosol may contain a medicament. The trocar may be a conventional trocar. Such trocars are typically used for a camera. The delivery of the aerosolized medicament can occur at the start of the procedure and be delivered in bolus. At the start of the procedure, the peritoneum is being inflated by means of the flow of insufflator gas. This gas flow will help to entrain the aerosolized medicament to the pneumoperitoneum regions. The surgeon can temporarily remove the camera from the trocar port to facilitate insertion and positioning of the aerosolizing unit.
Microchannel Feed System for an Aerosol Delivery Device
The present disclosure provides an aerosol delivery device and a liquid delivery and atomization assembly for use with an aerosol delivery device. In one implementation, the liquid delivery and atomization assembly comprises a liquid composition, an atomization assembly, and a liquid delivery component configured to transport at least a portion of the liquid composition to the atomization assembly. The liquid delivery component comprises at least one microchannel configured to deliver the portion of the liquid composition to the atomization assembly, and the microchannel includes a variable flow characteristic defined along at least a portion of the microchannel, the variable flow characteristic being configured to control the flow of the portion of liquid composition through the microchannel.
ATOMIZATION BOTTLE AND LIQUID ATOMIZATION DEVICE INCLUDING THE ATOMIZATION BOTTLE
An atomization device includes an atomization machine and an atomization bottle which can be disposed after use. The atomization bottle receives a liquid to be atomized to form a mist. The atomization bottle includes an atomization bottle cork to prevent leakage of the liquid. The atomization bottle cork includes an atomizer fee of power and any control module. A power supply and a control module are disposed on a machine body of the atomization machine. When the atomization bottle is coupled with the atomization machine, the atomizer can be activated by the control module to generate a mist. After the liquid in the atomization bottle is used up, the atomization bottle can be replaced by a new atomization bottle.

The mouthpiece, the bladder, and the mesh assembly are located in-line along a longitudinal axis of the device between opposite longitudinal ends of the device, with the mesh assembly extending between and separating the mouthpiece and the bladder. A liquid-filled cartridge also is disclosed for use with an electronic device and includes a bladder; and a liquid contained within the container for aerosolizing and inhaling by a person using the electronic device. The liquid includes an aqueous formulation including a saline component, an acid component, and a nicotine component. The acid component includes a lactic acid. The aqueous formulation optionally includes one or more of a menthol component, an ethanol component, and a surfactant component.
NEBULIZER APERTURE PLATE DRIVE FREQUENCY CONTROL AND MONITORING
A nebulizer has an aperture plate, a mounting, an actuator, and an aperture plate drive circuit (2-4). A controller measures an electrical drive parameter at each of a plurality of measuring points, each measuring point having a drive frequency; and based on the values of the parameter at the measuring points makes a determination of optimum drive frequency and also an end-of-dose prediction. The controller performs a short scan at regular sub-second intervals at which drive current is measured at two measuring points with different drive frequencies. According to drive parameter measurements at these points the controller determines if a full scan sweeping across a larger number of measuring points should be performed. The full scan provides the optimum drive frequency for the device and also an end of dose indication.
