Reaction force nozzle

A nozzle for water jet equipment and a method of use thereof. The nozzle has a body including a base with a shaft extending outwardly therefrom. The shaft is inserted through a bore of a sleeve that rotatable about the shaft. The base and shaft define a bore therein. At least one opening is defined in the shaft and one or more grooves are milled into the shaft's exterior surface. Each opening places the body's bore in fluid communication with one of the grooves and the sleeve's bore. Water flowing through the body's bore will flow through each opening, into the associated groove and into a space between the shaft and sleeve. The shaft terminates in a conical section usable as a battering ram to break up blockages in pipes during cleaning operations.

An ultra-high pressure nozzle comprises a stator with a stator channel and a rotor with a rotor channel. A transition from the stator channel to the rotor channel is achieved by a seal, which comprises a rotor bearing hollow body with a rotor bearing channel crossing it in a longitudinal direction and a stator bearing hollow body with a stator bearing channel crossing it in a longitudinal direction. The rotor bearing hollow body is in a fixed location and protrudes into the rotor channel and the stator bearing hollow body is in a fixed location and protrudes into the stator channel. The rotor bearing hollow body and the stator bearing hollow body do not overlap each other. When the nozzle is mounted, the front surface of the rotor bearing hollow body rests in direct contact with a front surface of the stator bearing hollow body in a rotatable manner, thereby creating a seal.

Lances for a heat exchanger tube lancing machine may be continuously supported in radial direction by being guided in a channel. Each channel has one solid bottom and two solid sides. The top of each channel is covered by a rubberlike lip or lip stripes, for instance a semi-flexible polyurethane sheet. Due to the narrow guiding surfaces within the channel it is possible to use more flexible high-pressure hoses as lances, which will not buckle though there might be severe advancing forces.

Pipe scarifying method and apparatus

An apparatus for hydrodemolishing the inside surfaces of an inclined pipe, particularly suited to contiguous pipe sections with access ports between the sections. The fluid supply hose is fed to the hydrodemolition rig inside the pipe from the same side as the winch that controls the movement of the rig. The rig is moved upstream in a scarifying pass, then downstream in a cleaning pass for each section and re-staged at each access port.

ACOUSTIC EMITTER DEVICE FOR REGULAR CLEANING OF A DOWNHOLE FILTER

The invention relates to methods for restoring well productivity and to devices for cleaning downhole mesh filters without disassembling water-lifting equipment. Well productivity is restored and maintained using an acoustic method based on generating an ultrasonic fluid flow directed at a filter to clean the pre-filter zone of clogging deposits by moving an acoustic emitter along the filter. The acoustic emitter is placed within the lower portion of a casing string, downstream of a submersible downhole pump, and is connected to a means for delivering thereof into the filter zone. The acoustic emitter device comprises an ultrasonic transducer block, which is disposed between two supporting plates and is connected therewith by a rotary unit and an electric motor. The ultrasonic transducer block is configured in the form of two ultrasonic vibration systems located inside separate cylindrical housings positioned transverse to the axis of the filter, while the working surfaces of the waveguide tools of the vibration systems are oriented in the opposite directions toward the inside surface of the filter. The rotary unit and electric motor are connected to the ultrasonic transducer block and are mounted on the upper and lower supporting plates, respectively. The faces of the supporting plates are perpendicular to the filter axis and have bracing elements along the perimeter for anchoring inside the filter. The electric motor is used to facilitate rotary oscillations of the ultrasonic transducers within a 180-degree range (similar to a clock pendulum). In this case, the waveguide tools sweep the inner surface of the filter with an ultrasonic fluid flow along the circumference of the filter within a 360-degree range. Concurrently with this process, the delivery means causes the acoustic emitter to perform reciprocating movement along the filter axis, thus, providing a subsequent treatment of the entire inner surface of the downhole filter with a directed ultrasonic fluid flow, as well as a regular cleaning of the pre-filter zone of the well without disassembling the water-lifting string and submersible pump.

Pipe inspection system with jetter push-cable

Pipe inspection systems including a push-cable, jetter, and camera assembly are disclosed. A jetter nozzle may be configured to spin and/or propel the camera head within a pipe or other cavity. A cutter line may be attached to the camera head to clean obstructions. A sonde may be coupled to a camera head to generate magnetic field signals for use with a buried utility locator to locate a pipe or other cavity into which the camera head is deployed.

The apparatus includes a drive mechanism, an adaptable support that can be fastened directly to the pipe end which carries the drive mechanism, a remote control console, and a hose take-up drum spaced from the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a driven roller and a follower roller sandwiching the flexible lance hose therebetween and a rotary cam lift mechanism for linearly raising the follower roller to permit insertion of the flexible lance hose and lowering the follower roller against the driven roller.
