DEVICE FOR CLEANING INNER SURFACE OF PIPE
20190329303 · 2019-10-31 ·

The device is for cleaning the inner surface of a pipe. The device has a spindle arranged to be rotated and having a front end and a rear end between which a plurality of elastic metal blades are attached both in the rotation direction of the spindle and in the direction perpendicular to the rotation direction to clean the inner surface of the pipe. The blades have a shape that is curved at at least two points such that they curve at least once towards the circumferential direction of the spindle and at least once outwards from the circumferential direction of the spindle to prevent the device from getting stuck in uneven pipe systems.

Forward articulating cleaning and removal apparatus and method

A forward articulating cleaning and removal apparatus for cleaning a drainage structure. An example apparatus includes a housing to extend into a structure to be cleared and/or removed, through an open end of the structure to be cleared. The example apparatus also includes a distal edge formed on the housing to cut or loosen debris. At least one coil within the housing moves the cut or loosened debris away from the distal edge formed on the housing to a proximal end of the housing. A debris escape opening is formed in the proximal end of the housing. A stem at the proximal end of the housing is provided for connecting to a rotational power source to drive the housing. The example apparatus includes at least one cutting edge on the distal edge of the housing and/or the at least one coil within the housing.

INTERNAL PIPE CLEANING TOOL AND METHOD
20190201946 · 2019-07-04 ·

A pipe cleaning tool has a longitudinally extending hollow shaft with a honer head on the forward end and stabilizing legs behind the honer head. The shaft is adapted to be connected to a machine for pulling the tool through the pipe while rotating the tool such that the cutting elements on the reamer head remove debris from the inside wall of the pipe. The legs center and stabilize the reamer head to prevent contact with the internal pipe wall during the cleaning operation. Water or other lubricating fluid is ejected from the shaft during use of the tool to lubricate the tool in the pipe, and to flush loose debris out of the path of the tool.

DRAIN CLEANER

A drain cleaner includes a shroud with a closed end and an open end opposite the closed end, a drum assembly positioned within the shroud and rotatable relative to the shroud, a flexible cable stored within the drum assembly, and a handle assembly coupled to and extending rearwardly from the shroud. The handle assembly includes a motor, a grip, and an actuator to selectively energize the motor. The actuator is enclosed between the grip and the shroud.

Motorized pipe-mounted drain cleanout
10329753 · 2019-06-25 ·

A drain cleanout features a flexible drain auger, a mounting section supported solely on a drain pipe, a drum section carried by the mounting section and storing the auger, a rotational connection coupling the mounting section and the drum section, and a rotational drive unit carried by the mounting section and operable to drive rotation of the drum section. A feed mechanism for the flexible auger features a helical slot in the auger cable and a thin disc received in the slot and supported at a fixed longitudinal position in a travel direction along which the drain auger exits and re-enters the drum. Rotation of the auger cable with the drum cause longitudinal displacement of the auger cable in the travel direction. A liquid sensor enables the apparatus to be left in place for automatic self-activation upon detection of liquid back up in the drain pipe.
