Associated with each of the individual discharge openings is a respectively adjusted flow area, such that the flow areas of the respective discharge openings decrease in a direction leading away from the connecting point along the longitudinal axis of the cooling beam.

Cooling System

A cooling system according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a cooling part which supplies a cooling fluid to a strip; and a boiling film removal part, which physically comes into contact with the strip and removes a boiling film formed by the cooling fluid. The boiling film removal part according to the embodiment may be disposed at a position where a nuclear boiling and a film boiling are mixed together along a widthwise direction of the strip.

Method and device for stabilizing a movement of a rolled metal band on a roller table

During stabilization of a metal band (1) on a roller path (2), the band (1) is to be only minimally cooled via the stabilisation. A device for that includes multiple protective runners (3), each oriented in the conveyor direction (R), for guiding the band (1), wherein the protective runners (3) are arranged above the roller path (2) and the protective runners (3) are at a distance from one another in a width direction (B) of the band (1). Multiple rows (4) of nozzles are arranged in the conveyor direction (R) or in the width direction (B) of the band. Each row (4) of nozzles includes multiple nozzles (5). The nozzles (5) are set back in relation to an underside of the protective runners (3), such that an arched band (1) cannot come into contact with the nozzles (5). A compressed air supply (6) and a network of tubes or pipelines (7) supply the nozzles (5) with compressed air, wherein the nozzles (5) apply compressed air to the upper side of the band (1) in order to stabilize the movement of the band (1) on the roller path (2).

METHOD AND SECTION FOR QUICK COOLING OF A CONTINUOUS LINE FOR TREATING METAL BELTS

Rapid cooling section of a continuous metal strip treatment line, where the strip is cooled with a spray of liquid or a mixture of gas and liquid using nozzles located on each side of the strip. Along the direction of movement of the strip, it includes at least one row of flat spray nozzles across the strip followed by at least one row of cone spray nozzles across the strip.

COOLING DEVICE FOR HOT ROLLED STEEL SHEET AND COOLING METHOD FOR THE SAME

A cooling device cooling an undersurface of a hot rolled steel sheet that is being transported on transport rolls after finish rolling of a hot rolling step includes: width divided cooling zones that are a plurality of cooling zones into which a whole cooling zone is divided in a sheet width direction; divided cooling sections that are a plurality of cooling zones into which each of the width divided cooling zones is divided in the rolling direction; a water nozzle spraying cooling water over each of undersurfaces of the divided cooling sections; a switching mechanism switching the cooling water between impinging and not impinging on the divided cooling sections; a width direction thermometer measuring a temperature distribution in the sheet width direction; and a controller controlling operation of the switching mechanism.
