Nut runner system
Nut runner system which includes holder table having tightening point at one end and coupling part at other end, and configured to hold plurality of bits, and nut runner main body including carrier coupled to wrist part of robotic arm, spindle supported by carrier, and bit changer coupled to spindle and which one of plurality of bits is attached. Coupling part of each of plurality of bits has an engaging hole coaxial with tightening point, and annular protrusion that continues in circumferential directions is formed in inner circumferential surface of engaging hole. Bit changer includes actuator, actuator made of engaging shaft to be inserted into engaging hole and operating pieces formed in engaging shaft, operating pieces moving between engaging position wherein operating pieces protrude radially outward from inner circumferential edge of annular protrusion and retracted position wherein operating pieces are retracted radially inward from inner circumferential edge of annular protrusion.
Drilling device for machining tubes in tube sheets in a radioactive environment
The present disclosure relates to a drilling device for machining tubes in tube sheets of heat exchangers in a radioactive environment. A retaining plate is clampable in the tubes with at least two retaining fingers on a first side and a first drive, which drives a tool shaft, is arranged on a second side. A tool chuck on a first end side of the tool shaft is connected detachably to the latter, wherein a forward feed of the tool shaft is brought about by a feed device. In addition, the tool chuck is unlockable from the tool shaft by way of an unlocking instrument and the unlocking instrument is controllable by a remote-control device.
Clamp device
To provide a clamp device which is designed to shorten a spindle than before, thus enabling the downsizing of a spindle device. In a clamp device for removably mounting a tool holder to a spindle of a rotary spindle device, a clamp mechanism is placed in a clamp state by a reciprocation drive mechanism producing a rearward movement in which a draw-in sleeve (9) engaged therewith via steel balls (13) is moved rearward to bring through-holes (12) thereof to rearward large diameter portion (4d) in a bore region of a spindle body (4) and further rearward to a position where the steel balls (13) are retained between the rearward large diameter portion (4d) and a jig large diameter portion (14a), while the retreated draw-in sleeve (9) moves rearward a draw-in bolt (8) and a clamp sleeve (5) by means of a biasing force of an elastic member (10).
Machine tool
A machine tool includes: a column; a spindle head supported by the column; a spindle in the spindle head; a draw bar moved upward to clamp a tool to the lower end portion of the spindle and moved downward to release the tool therefrom; a biasing portion biasing the draw bar upward; a cam mechanism including a cam in the column and an arm whose one end slides on a cam surface such that the other end pushes down the draw bar; a measurement portion measuring the position of the draw bar; a storage portion storing a position relationship between the spindle head and the draw bar when the cam mechanism is normal; and an abnormality determination portion determining an abnormality in the cam mechanism based on the position of the draw bar measured with the measurement portion and the relationship stored in the storage portion.
CUTTING TOOL AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool comprises a shank having an insertion portion protruding from a shank main body, a head in which an insertion hole into which the insertion portion is inserted is formed, and a spacer disposed in a gap between the shank main body and the head. The insertion portion has a tapered outer circumferential surface which gradually decreases in diameter from the other side toward one side in the axial direction. The insertion hole has a tapered inner circumferential surface coming into surface contact with the tapered outer circumferential surface. A head end surface of the head which faces the other side in the axial direction comes into surface contact with a surface facing one side in the axial direction of the spacer.
Quick-change clamping unit for toolholder and method of using same
A clamping unit includes a drawbar having an interior surface defining a fluid transport channel. A fluid transport pipe is at least partially disposed within the interior of the drawbar and is in fluid communication with a fluid transport adapter and a fluid transport channel to enable high pressure fluid to be provided directly to a toolholder. The clamping unit further comprises at least one spring-like member positioned around the outer surface of the drawbar to provide a biasing force against an end plate. The drawbar is movable along a longitudinal axis between a locked position and a tool release position by applying and not applying hydraulic pressure against the end plate, thereby providing a quick-change feature of the invention.
Tool holder assemblies and methods of using the same
In one aspect tool holder assemblies are described herein. Such tool holder assemblies can employ outer and inner spring-like members. For example, a tool holder assembly described herein comprises a drawbar having an outer diameter surface and an inner diameter surface defining an interior of the drawbar. The drawbar is movable or actuatable along a longitudinal axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. The tool holder assembly can further comprise a first spring-like member positioned around the outer diameter surface of the drawbar and a second spring-like member positioned in the drawbar interior.
