Kit for a milling tool and a milling tool
A tool body and at least one cassette for a milling tool. The tool body includes at least two identical insert seats, each insert seat being configured to support a cutting insert arranged to be mounted therein. At least one side contact surface is provided in each insert seat for supporting a bottom support surface and at least one side support surface of the cutting insert. The cassette has a peripheral side surface including at least one side support surface and at least one insert seat configured to support a cutting insert. The at least one side support surface and a bottom support surface of the cassette are configured to be supported by the at least one contact surface of any one of the insert seats of the tool body, the cassette being configured to be detachably mounted in any one of the identical insert seats of the tool body.
Adzer bit with cutting segments
An adzer bit includes a support member that defines a through hole that is configured to receive a fastener. The support member includes a cap portion and a base portion. The support member also defines an annular slot that is axially disposed between the cutting segment cap portion and the base portion. A plurality of cutting segments are received and secured in the annular slot. The material of the plurality of cutting segments is harder than the material of the support member.
MACHINING TOOL WITH ADJUSTABLY FIXED CUTTING INSERT
A rotatable tool, comprising a tool support body which has an axis and which forms at least one plate seat either directly or in a cartridge in order to receive a cutting plate. By means of a head screw, which passes through the cutting plate, the base of the cutting plate can be pressed against a base support surface, and two plate edges, which form an angle with each other, can be pressed against a respective corresponding edge support surface of the plate seat. Production dimensions are maintained with a low degree of tolerance and the tool is protected from excessive wear to a sufficient degree. Both edge support surfaces are made of support bodies which are movably guided in the tool support body and which can be driven by a corresponding adjustment device in order to finely adjust the cutting plate in a radial and axial direction, respectively.
MILLING HEAD, TURN-MILL MACHINE AND METHOD
A milling head includes a milling head base, a plurality of blades annularly arranged around the milling head base; and an actuator to rotate the milling head base. Each of the plurality of blades extends from the base at a differential radial distance as compared to a neighboring blade from the plurality of blades.
HARDWARE FASTENER WITH MOVABLE THREADED ELEMENT AND ONE OR MORE SPRING-LIKE MEMBERS
A hardware fastener with a movable threaded element suspended within a cavity formed in a body. The movable threaded element has an internal surface with threads for cooperating with a threaded fastener. The movable threaded element is suspended in the cavity by the one or more spring-like members such that an area, A, of reduced stiffness is created in the cavity proximate the movable threaded element, thereby allowing the movable threaded element to move a predetermined distance within the cavity when torque is applied to the threaded fastener. The one or more spring-like members store elastic potential energy to prevent the loss of pretension of the threaded fastener that can be caused by heat or vibration. The invention also eliminates the need for a torque wrench when tightening the threaded fastener to a specified torque value.

ROTARY CUTTING TOOL AND CARTRIDGE
A rotary cutting tool is provided that includes a cutter body, and a plurality of cartridges, fasteners, and cartridge axial adjustment mechanisms. The cutter body has a rotational axis, a circumferential exterior surface, and a plurality of cartridge pockets disposed in the circumferential exterior surface. A cartridge fastener threaded aperture is disposed in each cartridge pocket. The cartridge fastener threaded apertures extend along an axis disposed at an acute angle. Each cartridge has a body having at least one cartridge fastener aperture disposed at the acute angle. Each cartridge axial adjustment mechanism is aligned with a cartridge. Each fastener holds a cartridge against a cartridge pocket, and biases the cartridge against the aligned cartridge axial adjustment mechanism.
Cutting insert and milling tool
A second distance is longer than a first distance and a value obtained by dividing the third distance by the fourth distance is more than or equal to 0.5 and less than or equal to 0.8 when it is assumed that the first distance represents a distance between the cutting edge and the mounting surface in a direction perpendicular to the rake face, the second distance represents a distance between the mounting surface and a boundary portion between the rising portion and the flat portion in the direction perpendicular to the rake face, the third distance represents a distance between the boundary portion and a tip of the cutting edge in a direction parallel to the rake face, and the fourth distance represents a distance between the second discharging opening portion and the tip of the cutting edge in the direction parallel to the rake face.
Cutting insert positioning cartridge and system for a machining tool and a machining tool comprising such a positioning system
A cartridge for positioning a cutting insert onto a machining tool has a central longitudinal axis, along which the cutting insert is configured to be positioned and an end wall for supporting the cartridge. The end wall defines a first surface extending beyond the end wall and transversally to the central longitudinal axis. The cartridge includes a rear wall for supporting the cartridge against the machining tool and defining a second surface extending beyond the rear wall and a front clamping wall having a clamping hole. The clamping hole extends along a clamping direction and is configured to receive a clamping screw for clamping the cartridge onto the machining tool, wherein the clamping direction is arranged to intersect the first and second surfaces.
