Device and method for producing at least partially closed profiles or tubular components from metal sheet
The invention relates to a device and method for producing at least partially closed profiles from metal sheet, having a first tool part, a second tool part, and at least one supporting core. The insertion movement of the supporting core between the bending jaws is limited by a stop and, in its insertion position limited by the stop, protrudes with respect to the bending jaws in the direction of the die, in that the supporting core is arranged on a carrier that is movable relative to the die, and in that the bending jaws are assigned at least one displacement element connected rigidly thereto, the displacement element coming into contact with the carrier when the bent metal sheet portion engages around the supporting core.

Method of laser welding coated steel sheets with addition of alloying elements
A process is described for laser welding a sheet metal workpiece having an aluminum-silicon containing pre-coat layer disposed on at least one major surface thereof, and having first and second opposite side edges. The sheet metal workpiece is arranged such that the first and second side edges are in contact with one another and such that the at least one major surface faces outwardly. A closed tube-shaped product is obtained by forming a laser-weld joint between the first and second side edges. In particular the laser-weld joint is formed absent removing the aluminum-silicon containing layer from along the adjacent edges, such that aluminum from the aluminum-silicon containing layer enters into the melt pool that is formed. An alloying material is introduced into the melt pool during laser welding and forms a compound with at least some of the aluminum in the melt pool.
Laser beam welding diagnosis apparatus and laser beam welding diagnosis method
A laser beam welding diagnosis apparatus includes: an imaging unit configured to capture images of a laser beam welding penetration side of a laser beam welded portion at a predetermined time interval; a feature amount calculating unit configured to calculate, from an image captured by the imaging unit, a feature amount of a jetted portion accompanying laser beam welding penetration; a welding diagnosis unit configured to determine that a welding defect in the laser beam welded portion has occurred when values of the feature amounts of a predetermined area around the laser beam welded portion on the laser beam welding penetration side become equal to or less than a predetermined value for a predetermined duration or longer; and an output unit configured to output a welding quality state including the occurrence of the welding defect.
