Debris control apparatus for cutting machines
A debris control apparatus is provided for selective assembly and disassembly with a cutting tool. The debris control apparatus includes a debris control enclosure and a mounting assembly for mounting the enclosure to the cutting tool. The enclosure comprises a vacuum opening assembled and in fluid communication with a vacuum conduit, the vacuum conduit connected to a vacuum source, for extracting the debris from the enclosure. The enclosure and vacuum conduit may be sized, shaped, and contoured to reduce recirculation of debris within the enclosure.
METHOD FOR SYNCHRONOUS CONTROL OF GANTRY MECHANISM WITH ONLINE INERTIA MATCHING
A method for synchronous control of a gantry mechanism with online inertia matching is applicable to a machine tool equipped with a gantry mechanism. The gantry mechanism includes two rails, a crossbeam and a saddle, in which the saddle is disposed on the crossbeam, and the crossbeam is disposed by crossing the two rails. Each of the two rails is furnished with a driving apparatus for synchronously driving the crossbeam, and the driving apparatus includes a drive motor and a lead screw. This method includes the steps of: obtaining gantry-mechanism information; detecting position information of the saddle on the crossbeam; evaluating the position information and the gantry-mechanism information to derive load-inertia variety information; and, evaluating the load-inertia variety information to adjust torque-output information of the drive motor corresponding to the respective driving apparatus.

A Cartesian machine tool, of the type with a horizontal slide and a machining head supported in a cantilever manner by the slide, includes a slide carriage, with respect to which the slide can move horizontally with corresponding elements of horizontal translation, and a post, which includes two opposite guiding columns for the vertical movement of the slide carriage with elements of vertical translation. The slide carriage includes a first front part coupled to the post with the elements of vertical translation and a second rear part coupled to the first part with elements of translation in a transverse direction with respect to a direction of motion of the slide with respect to the carriage.

The machine tool is provided with: a rotational feed shaft device that is not parallel to any of the linear feed shafts and that rotates the main shaft head around an inclined axis that intersects the rotational axis of the main shaft; and a main shaft head base that rotatably supports the main shaft head so that the point of intersection between the rotational axis and the inclined axis of the main shaft coincides with a defined reference point at the tip side of the main shaft.

A tool exchange device for tool magazine includes a base having a driving member, a pressure cylinder, a movement member pivotally connected to the base adjacent to the driving member, and a tool retrieving member disposed on the movement member. The driving member has a connection portion and a twisting portion. The pressure cylinder has a piston rod pivotally connected to the connection portion for driving the driving member. The twisting portion is removably received in a receiving portion of the movement member. With the rotation of the driving member, the twisting portion forces the movement member to move along an arc shape route, such that the movement member rotates by an angle, and the tool retrieving member sways between a vertical and horizontal positions. Therefore, the tool exchange device is driven with a lower force, and the tool retrieving tool stably sways.
