Predictive Energy Management

Predictive energy management comprising systems and methods to collect information about the configuration of energy resources and historical data about energy utilization as to make recommendations on how to optimize those energy resources are disclosed. Intelligent distributed energy resources (IDERs) which are devices that are energy producers or consumers that are automatable with application programming interfaces are aggregated together. An intelligent energy profile, which comprises a summary of energy resources and historical data about utilization is generated. A predictive algorithm is applied to the intelligent energy profile thereby generating a predicted future state, and a recommendation on how to optimize against that predicted future state is generated. In some embodiments generative artificial intelligence techniques are utilized, and in some embodiments the recommendations are automatically performed via the generation of computer script embodying the recommendations. The predictive energy management techniques scale from a single building, through microgrids, to the national level.

Remote sensing and control at the point of common coupling in an electrical grid

Techniques are described for compensating for differences in conditions at the PoC and PCC by determining an adjustment to a PoC setpoint that adjusts a value of an electrical parameter at the PCC so as to approximate or equal a PCC setpoint. In some examples, for voltage regulation and protection functions (mandatory trips), the voltages and/or currents are sensed at the PCC (remote sensing) and fed to a DER controller to produce the appropriate action. For power delivery at the PCC, active and reactive power can be sensed at the PCC and measurements are fed to the DER controller.

Ankle replacement system and method

A position adjustment device having a tool holder is locked to at least two pins projecting from respective anterior facing locations near a distal end of a tibia of a patient. The position adjustment device is adjusted. The position adjustment device is locked with the tool holder at first coordinates in the proximal-distal and medial-lateral directions. The distal end of the tibia is resectioned with a tool positioned on the tool holder, while the tool holder is in the first coordinates in the proximal-distal and medial-lateral directions. The tool is removed from the tool holder. A tibia trial is placed on the resectioned tibia using the tool holder, while the tool holder is in the first coordinates in the proximal-distal and medial-lateral directions. The tibia trial has a size and shape of a tibial tray of an ankle replacement system.

Power system

A power system includes a central unit, a zone unit capable of communicating with the central unit, and a downstream unit. The zone unit includes a semiconductor switch capable of electrically connecting the downstream unit to a power supply, and a zone power supply driver capable of waking up the zone unit in response to reception of an unique identifier transmitted from the central unit. The downstream unit is woken up when the semiconductor switch of the zone unit enters an ON state.

Asset Fuel-Reserve Based Microgrid Control Strategy

A refueling prediction mode in a microgrid power system may include inputting historical load and weather date of the microgrid power system to a forecasting block and determining forecasted site load and weather factors for the microgrid power system. The forecasted site load and weather factors may be used along with fuel efficiency curves and asset fuel levels for power assets of the microgrid power system, along with other information, to determine an asset dispatch schedule and a refueling timeline for the power assets. Asset dispatch commands based on the asset dispatch schedule and an actual site load may be output to the power assets to meet the load demand on the microgrid power system. A sustained reliability mode may use the information plus real-time fuel costs for the power assets to determine an asset dispatch schedule for longest microgrid sustenance for the power assets.
