Wafer carrier and method
A wafer carrier includes a pocket sized and shaped to accommodate a wafer, the pocket having a base and a substantially circular perimeter, and a removable orientation marker, the removable orientation marker comprising an outer surface and an inner surface, the outer surface having an arcuate form sized and shaped to mate with the substantially circular perimeter of the pocket, and the inner surface comprising a flat face, wherein the removable orientation marker further comprises a notch at a first end of the flat face.
Semiconductor device manufacturing method with slip suppressing impurity region
Provided is a semiconductor device manufacturing method including a process of annealing a semiconductor wafer in a state in which a supported portion on a lower surface of the semiconductor wafer is supported by using a supporting portion, wherein the supported portion includes one or a plurality of supporting portions and the supporting portion includes one or a plurality of supporting portions, the method comprising: forming impurity regions including a first impurity in a region which is overlapped with the supported portion in a top view and which is apart from an edge of the semiconductor wafer; annealing the semiconductor wafer in a state in which the lower surface of the semiconductor wafer is supported by the supporting portion; and removing the impurity regions by removing a region including the lower surface of the semiconductor wafer.
Wafer positioning method and apparatus
In an embodiment, a method includes: placing a wafer on an implanter platen, the wafer including alignment marks; measuring a position of the wafer by measuring positions of the alignment marks with one or more cameras; determining an angular displacement between the position of the wafer and a reference position of the wafer; and rotating the implanter platen by the angular displacement.
Substrate and method of manufacturing substrate
Provided is a method of manufacturing a substrate including an alignment mark, including: forming the alignment mark and a recess portion on the substrate, the alignment mark not penetrating the substrate and including a bottom portion with a lower infrared transmittance than that of a first surface and a second surface of the substrate; and aligning the substrate by orthogonally arranging predetermined positions of the first surface and the second surface of the substrate in a horizontal direction and an infrared ray camera and by image-identifying the alignment mark formed on the substrate with transmitted light of infrared rays emitted from the infrared ray camera.
Wet etching process for manufacturing semiconductor structure
A method for manufacturing a semiconductor structure includes forming a plurality of semiconductor stack portions spaced apart from each other by a plurality of recesses, each of which includes two sacrificial layer portions and a channel layer portion disposed therebetween, in which the channel layer portion has a plurality of crystal planes and is formed with a first straight lateral surface which is aligned with one of the crystal planes that has a lowest etching rate for an etchant to be used for laterally etching the channel layer portion among those of the crystal planes of the channel layer portion which are able to expose to the recesses; and laterally etching the channel layer portion using the etchant to permit the channel layer portion to be formed with a second straight lateral surface.
