Wafer carrier and method
A wafer carrier includes a pocket sized and shaped to accommodate a wafer, the pocket having a base and a substantially circular perimeter, and a removable orientation marker, the removable orientation marker comprising an outer surface and an inner surface, the outer surface having an arcuate form sized and shaped to mate with the substantially circular perimeter of the pocket, and the inner surface comprising a flat face, wherein the removable orientation marker further comprises a notch at a first end of the flat face.
Clamp assembly
A clamp assembly includes at least one clamp which is provided to clamp a workpiece in electroless plating, etching, electroplating or cleaning process. The clamp includes a base, a clamping element and a limiting element. The base is mounted on a carrier and includes a guide hole and a first limiting hole which are communicated with each other. The clamping element includes a guide rod and a second limiting hole, the guide rod is inserted into the guide hole to allow the second limiting hole located on the guide hole to be communicated with the first limiting hole. The limiting element is inserted into the first and second limiting holes to integrate the base with the clamping element for clamping the workpiece.

The disclosure provides a substrate cleaning device and a substrate processing device capable of suppressing erroneous rotation detection of an optical sensor due to adhesion of droplets or mist. A substrate cleaning device includes a substrate cleaning part for cleaning a substrate, a drive roller for rotating the substrate, a driven roller rotated by the substrate, and a rotation detection part for detecting rotation of the driven roller. The rotation detection part includes a detected part provided on the driven roller, an optical sensor for detecting rotation of the detected part by irradiation with detection light, and a liquid filling part for filling an optical path forming space in which an optical path of the detection light is formed with a liquid having transmittance.

Apparatus for processing a wafer-shaped article, the apparatus comprising a support configured to support the wafer-shaped article during a processing operation; wherein: the support comprises a support body and a plurality of gripping pin assemblies adapted and positioned relative to the support body for gripping the wafer-shaped article, wherein each of the gripping pin assemblies is rotatable relative to the support body between a gripping configuration in which the gripping pin assemblies grip the wafer-shaped article, and a non-gripping configuration in which the gripping pin assemblies do not grip the wafer-shaped article; each of the gripping pin assemblies protrudes from a respective hole in the support body; and a sealing member is positioned between at least one of the gripping pin assemblies and the respective hole, the sealing member being configured to restrict infiltration of a processing liquid used in the processing operation into the hole.
