Method and Apparatus for Actively Managing Electric Power Supply for an Electric Power Grid
Systems and methods are disclosed for managing power supplied over an electric power grid from at least one power supply source. A coordinator manages communications between at least one server and the at least one power supply source, wherein the server is operable to initiate power commands, wherein the communications comprise an actual amount of power supply available for the electric power grid from the at least one power supply source, and wherein the at least one power supply source is operable to provide power supply to the electric power grid based on the power commands.
Energy management system
An energy management system comprising a photovoltaic system (1) having at least one photovoltaic array (2) adapted to generate electrical DC power converted by an inverter (4) of said photovoltaic system (1) into AC power, Wherein in a normal operation mode of the photovoltaic system (1) an energy flow within said photovoltaic system (1) is controlled according to control values received as setpoints via an Internet connection (15) from a remote energy management scheme run by a remote server (14), Wherein if a communication failure with the remote server (14) is detected a fallback operation mode of the photovoltaic system (1) is initiated where the energy flow within said photovoltaic system (1) is controlled according to local control values provided as setpoints by a local energy management scheme.
THIRD PARTY ENERGY MANAGEMENT
A system of modules which control and measure energy usage at a building which are in communication with a software program executing on a remote server controlled by a third party. The third party said usage via the software program which communicates with the modules to modify energy usage and demand for energy and is responsible or liable for energy usage charges the building where the third party does not actually use the energy.
System, method, and apparatus for electric power grid and network management of grid elements
Systems, methods, and apparatus for smart electric power grid communication are disclosed in the present invention. At least one grid element transmits at least one registration message over an Internet Protocol (IP)-based network to at least one coordinator. The at least one coordinator registers the at least one grid element upon receipt of the at least one registration message. The at least one grid element automatically and/or autonomously transforms into at least one active grid element for actively functioning in the electric power grid. The at least one coordinator tracks based on revenue grade metrology an amount of power available for the electric power grid or a curtailment power available from the at least one active grid element.
