Tissue Log Saw Conveyor With Independent Lane Control Cutting and Variable Conveyor Flight Length
A conveyor system for advancing tissue logs has a first log advancement member that conveys a lead tissue log toward a discharge end of a lane via a first drive, and a second log advancement member that conveys a successive tissue log after the lead tissue log toward the discharge end of the lane via a second drive. A controller is coupled to the first and second drives. The controller is adapted and configured to control: the first drive to move the first log advancement member between a start and finish position, the second drive to move the second log advancement member between the start and finish position, and the first drive independently of the second drive. A plurality of like lanes may be provided and the controller may also control the first and second drives of one lane independently of the first and second drives of another lane.
Device for cutting plates
A device for cutting a plate of a pre-determined thickness, preferably a glass plate, includes a frame; a support device for a cutting utensil, which is connected to the frame and adapted to have and upward and downward movement; and a hinged lever system, which has a feeler element and is kinematically coupable with the support device to bind it in a pre-determined initial position with respect to the frame. When the feeler element is pressed against a surface, the hinged lever system causes the support device with the cutting utensil to move downward from an initial position.

MACHINE FOR CUTTING LOGS WITH GRINDING WHEELS AND METHOD
The machine includes a feeding path for the logs to be cut and a cutting head arranged along the feeding path. The cutting head includes a coupling for a disc-shaped cutting blade and is designed to impart the disc-shaped cutting blade a rotary motion around the axis thereof and a cyclic movement to cut the logs into single rolls, and to allow the logs to move forward along the feeding path. The machine also includes at least a grinding unit, including at least one grinding wheel mounted onto a rotation shaft and co-acting with a side of the disc-shaped cutting blade to grind the cutting edge of the same disc-shaped cutting blade. A controlled approach system is also provided to move the grinding wheel towards the disc-shaped cutting blade.

Insert and pin for pin ejector system for a rotary cutting die arrangement and associated methods
An insert assembly is received in a recess on the outer surface of a rotary cutting cylinder. The insert has a hole for a slug ejector pin which is slidingly engagable with the insert. The hole is arranged on the insert to communicate with a through hole in the recess that extends into the interior of the cylinder. When the slug ejector pin is inserted in the pin hole, the pin proximal end is received in the recess hole adjacent to the compressible core and the pin distal end projects from an outer surface of the insert. When the pin is assembled with the insert and the insert is assembled with the cylinder, the pin proximal end operatively engages the compressible core when the pin retracts into the pin hole of the insert and the pin proximal end operatively engages the insert when the pin projects from the pin hole.
DESTEMMING DEVICES AND METHODS
A destemming device includes a housing, a motor, and a belt system configured to fit within the housing. The housing includes at least one cutting aperture. The cutting aperture is formed from a plurality of cutting fingers that have a cutting edge. When a plant stem is pressed or fed into the device, the cutting fingers create a cutting aperture that is sized to conform closely to the plant stem.
AN ELECTROMECHANICAL DEVICE FOR REMOVING MATERIAL FROM AN ENCLOSED SPACE
An electromechanical device for removing material from an enclosed space, wherein the electromechanical device comprises at least one arm having at least one first attachment thereon, for fixing a cutter box and a suction device to cut and/or draw in the material that is to be removed from the enclosed space, a body attached to the arm for displacing the arm within the enclosed space, and at least one power source coupled to the body and configured to permit controlled movement of the device in the enclosed space. The electromechanical device also comprises, a first controller configured to receive movement controlling signals from a second controller located remote from the enclosed space and an attachment means that connects the device to equipment for lowering and raising the device in the enclosed space.
A CONVEYOR SYSTEM WITH A KNIFE FOR CUTTING FOOD ITEMS INTO SMALLER FOOD ITEMS
A conveyor system with a knife for cutting food items into smaller food items includes a first rotatable knife device having a knife blade, and a conveying system for conveying food items to be cut. The rotatable knife device is positioned above a carrying surface of the conveying system with the knife plane of the rotatable knife device extending through a first gap. The rotatable knife device is adapted for cutting a food item into smaller food items while the food item passes the first gap. The shape of the carrying surface around the first gap is concave and essentially follows the knife path of the rotatable knife blade.
CUTTING DEVICE AND CUTTING METHOD
A cutting device includes a cutter configured to cut a web including at least accumulated fibers and a ball screw mechanism configured to move the cutter in a transportation direction of the web, and the cutter, when the web is being transported, cuts the web in a direction intersecting the transportation direction while being moved in the transportation direction of the web by the ball screw mechanism.
