OPTICAL FIBER CUTTING SYSTEM
An optical fiber cutting system includes a pair of clamps disposed at an interval in a longitudinal direction of an optical fiber and that grasps the optical fiber; a disk-shaped blade member that passes between the pair of clamps, causes an outer circumferential edge to come into contact with the optical fiber, and scratches a surface of the optical fiber, where a position of the outer circumferential edge which is to be in contact with the optical fiber is changeable; a pressing member that press-bends a scratched portion of the optical fiber and cuts the optical fiber, and an acquirer that acquires position information of the outer circumferential edge which is to be in contact with the optical fiber.
HAND-OPERATED ROTARY BELT CUTTER
The disclosed inventive concept provides a rotary cutter and method of accurately cutting a ribbed transmission belt lengthwise to a desired width. The rotary cutter includes an upper portion having a handle end and a pivot end and a lower portion having a handle end and a pivot end. The pivot ends of each portion are joined by a common pivot. A belt input pulley and a rotary cutting wheel are rotatably attached to the upper portion. A drive wheel is rotatably attached to the lower portion. A belt output pulley is rotatably attached to the common pivot. Preferably but not absolutely the belt input pulley and the belt output pulley have ribbed outer surfaces. A cutting wheel cover is fixed around at least a portion of the cutting wheel. The upper portion is movable between an open, belt-fitting position and a closed, belt-cutting position relative to the lower portion.
Method to form yarn via film fiberizing spinning
A method to form yarn via film fiberizing spinning belongs to a textile technical field. A film cutting device is arranged behind each drafting system on a ring frame, whose cut resistance apron and cutting roller engage with each other to form a cutting zone to cut and fiberize the film to get belt-like multi-filaments. Then the multi-filament formed passes through the first, second and third drafting zones in sequence for drawing, in such a manner that the multi-filament molecular orientation and crystallization are improved. After being drafted, the multi-filaments are twisted into yarn by ring spinning, which provides a novel high-efficient and short-processing way of producing yarns of nano-micro fibers using films instead of conventional nano-spun fibers such as electro- and centrifugal spun fibers, thereby breaking restriction of low bulk and low-speed production of nano-spun fibers and integrating the film industry with the textile industry.
PRODUCTION MACHINE DIAGNOSING SYSTEM AND METHOD, BOX MAKING MACHINE, AND REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM
This production machine diagnosing system and method, box making machine, and remote monitoring system include a data collecting unit for collecting operation data of a plurality of drive devices, and a diagnosing unit for detecting an abnormality on the basis of the operation data of the plurality of drive devices collected by the data collecting unit, wherein the diagnosing unit comprises: a first diagnosing unit which, when a first drive device among the plurality of drive devices, for driving an apparatus that conveys a sheet, is driven, detects an abnormality on the basis of the operation data of the first drive device; and a second diagnosing unit which, when a second drive device other than the first drive device, among the plurality of drive devices, is driven, detects an abnormality on the basis of the operation data of the second drive device.
ELASTICALLY CONVERTING FLEXIBLE STAINLESS STEEL CIGS SHEETS
Disclosed are apparatuses and methods for cutting thin film solar cells. The apparatus may include circular knife cutter rollers, each having a knife edge and coupled with a cutter arbor, support rollers, each coupled to a support arbor and having first and second outer surfaces and a circumferential gap between the first and second outer surfaces partially defined by a first side, a second side facing and offset from the first side, a first rounded edge where the first side intersects with the first outer surface, and a second sharp edge where the second side intersects with the second outer surface. The cutter arbor and support arbor are offset, and the knife cutter rollers and support rollers are axially spaced, such that one knife edge is positioned in the gap of each support roller and the web may be fed between the cutter arbor and the support arbor.
DEVICE FOR MANUFCATURING CHOPPED FIBER BUNDLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A device for manufacturing a chopped fiber bundle includes a cutter roll provided with one or more disk blades on a circumference of a roll core having a center axis coinciding with a rotation axis of the roll core and a nip roll provided in parallel with the rotation axis of the roll core, to feed a reinforcing fiber yarn to be continuously cut between the nip roll and the cutter roll, further including a rotary drive mechanism that rotates the cutter roll and at least one of: a reciprocating drive mechanism that reciprocates the cutter roll along the rotation axis of the roll core; and a traverse guide that traverses the reinforcing fiber yarn along the rotation axis of the roll core.
PNEUMATIC DRIVE UNIT FOR A WORK TOOL OF A RELATIVELY RIGID MATERIAL AND CORRESPONDING MACHINE FOR WORKING A RELATIVELY RIGID MATERIAL
Machine to work a relatively rigid material, which comprises a plurality of operating units (20a, 20b) to work the relatively rigid material.
Side edge removal for post processing
A post-processing apparatus includes a side edge removing unit that removes a side edge of a sheet, and a rigidity imparting unit that imparts rigidity to the side edge that is removed by the side edge removing unit such that the side edge has a higher rigidity in a longitudinal direction of the side edge than a body of the sheet from which the side edge is removed.
CARBON FIBER PRE-PREGS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
Methods and components produced from carbon fiber pre-impregnated composite precursor materials (pre-preg) having enhanced flowability and moldability are provided. Discontinuous cut regions are introduced into a pre-preg. A sheet of pre-preg may be contacted with a patterned surface having a plurality of non-contiguous staggered cutters, so that the contacting creates discontinuous cuts in the pre-preg. A plurality of staggered discontinuous cut regions are formed in the plurality of continuous carbon fibers that define a first plurality of carbon fibers having a first length and a second plurality of carbon fibers having a second distinct length. The patterned surface may be provided on a cutter device that is a roller or a plate having the non-contiguous staggered cutters formed or disposed thereon. The discontinuous cut regions that are formed in the pre-preg reduce stiffness and improve moldability/flowability when forming carbon fiber polymeric composites, while retaining high strength levels.
