Observation-enhanced virtual master system for a printing press
A web printing press is provided. The web printing press includes at least one printing unit printing images on a web, at least one press component in direct contact with the web, a cutting device for cutting the web into sheets and a controller transmitting a virtual master signal to the at least one printing unit and at least one press component. A sensor senses the at least one press component or directly senses the web downstream of the at least one print unit and generates a sensor signal. A processor receives the sensor signal and the virtual master signal, the processor transmits a modified virtual master signal to the cutting device as a function of the received sensor signal. Methods are also provided.
Slitter, sheet cutting device, and sheet processing apparatus
A slitter comprising: an upper rotary blade; a lower rotary blade; an upper housing for holding the upper rotary blade; and a lower housing for holding the lower rotary blade, the slitter being constructed such that the both rotary blades revolve in a manner that a tip on a cutting surface side of the upper rotary blade and a tip on a cutting surface side of the lower rotary blade are rubbed together so that a sheet passing through between the both rotary blades is cut, wherein the upper rotary blade is cantilevered on the cutting surface side by a cantilevered supporting part and the lower rotary blade is cantilevered on a non-cutting surface side by a cantilevered supporting part.
Processing apparatus and stacker device
A processing apparatus comprises: a conveyance part for conveying a sheet; a processing part including a processing member that is installed in a manner of being movable in an intersecting direction of intersecting with a conveyance direction of the conveyance part and that performs predetermined processing at a predetermined position of the sheet under conveyance; a stacker part for accumulating processing articles obtained by the processing of the processing part; and a control part for controlling the stacker part such as to sort a predetermined amount of precedently ejected ones of the processing articles from the subsequent ones of the processing articles among the processing articles ejected to the stacker part by the conveyance part.
Sheet processing apparatus
In a sheet processing apparatus including a guide member that rotates by contact with a sheet processing unit, collision of the sheet processing unit with the guide member in a rotating state is avoided. A sheet conveyance apparatus includes: sheet processing units that move along one movement path intersecting a conveyance direction of a sheet; guide members that each include a fixed end rotatable about a rotation center line and support the sheet from below; a biasing member that biases the guide member so as to return to an original orientation in which a part of the guide member is located on the movement path; and a collision determination unit that determines, before at least one of the sheet processing units is moved and based on a movement start position and a target position of a movement target sheet processing unit and a size and an orientation before start of movement of the guide member, whether or not there is a possibility of occurrence of collision of the movement target sheet processing unit with the guide member in a rotating state.
A system and a method for stacking a fanfolded continuous web of sheet material
A system for stacking a fanfolded continuous web of sheet material of indefinite length, such as corrugated cardboard, includes a feeding device that guides the continuous web longitudinally, a creasing device downstream of the feeding device to form transverse creases on the continuous web with a constant longitudinal pitch to define a succession of adjacent partitions, a folding device downstream of the creasing device for progressively and alternately fanfolding adjacent partitions along the creases, and a collection device for collecting the folded web. The collection device includes a vertical column for retaining the stack of fanfolded adjacent partitions, and a cutting unit is mounted at the top of the column to act on the fly on the top adjacent partition of the stack while tracking stack-formation without stopping the folding device. A method of stacking a sheet material, such as a fanfolded continuous web of corrugated cardboard of indefinite length.
Adhesive Resistant Coating for Web Handling Devices
The invention pertains to coating web handling devices with a hydrophobic and oleophobic coating for preventing the accumulation of adhesive and inks from the web. The web being a web with a layer of adhesive or ink.
CUTTING MODULES
In an example, a cutting module may comprise a housing to engage the cutting module with a drive shaft, a cutter engaged with the housing, and a drive system engaged with the housing. The cutting module may be movable along the drive shaft laterally to a media path, the cutter may cut media along the media path, and the drive system may lock when the drive shaft rotates in a second drive direction such that the cutting module moves with the drive shaft.
Apparatus for processing a flexible material
An apparatus for processing a flexible material (14) comprises: a first roller (5) extending along a main axis (A1); a second roller (6) extending along a longitudinal axis (A2), the first roller (5) and the second roller (6) being mutually co-operating to carry out an operation on the flexible material (14), an interspace (37) being defined between the first roller (5) and the second roller (6) though which the flexible material (14) can pass; a pressing device for pushing the first roller (5) and the second roller (6) one towards another; a position adjustment device for adjusting the relative position of the first roller (5) and the second roller (6), the position adjustment device being distinct from the pressing device.
Print media cutters for printing apparatus
An example print media cutter for a printing apparatus may comprise an active cutting wheel arranged to reciprocate across a print medium, and a driving arrangement to drive the active cutting wheel in rotation during displacement of the cutter in a first direction, and to be disengaged from the active cutting wheel during displacement of the cutter in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
SLITTER
A slitter having a first slide, a first driving rail, multiple round knife modules, a second slide, a second driving rail, multiple bottom cutter modules and at least a controller is provided. The round knife module is arranged on the first slide, each round knife module is provided with a first actuator geared with the first driving rail. Each bottom cutter module is arranged on the second slide corresponding to a position of one of the round knife modules, each bottom cutter module is provided with a second actuator geared with the second driving rail. Each first actuator and the corresponding second actuator are electrically connected with the corresponding controller. The round knife module and the bottom cutter module are respectively moved by individual first actuator and second actuator. While the round knife module and the bottom cutter module are moving, material could be fed between them.
