GREEN POWER-CONSUMPTION FOR EDGE DEVICES
A computing system configured with a sustainability system is disclosed. A sustainability engine is configured to direct non-core activities of a computing system to a data processing unit and core-activities of the computing system to a central processing unit. The data processing unit is powered using a free energy power source. Depending on capability or status of the free energy power status, power for the data processing unit may be switched to a different power source as needed. This is achieved while allowing resource intensive security capabilities to be improved while advancing sustainability goals.
POWER SUPPLY AND DEMAND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND POWER SUPPLY AND DEMAND MANAGEMENT METHOD
A power supply and demand management system include a reception unit that receives a supply bid of renewable energy power from a supply side and a demand bid of the renewable energy power from a demand side of the renewable energy power via communication. The system also includes a matching unit that performs matching between the received supply bid and the demand bid, which causes an issuance unit to issue a correctable time division power certificate indicating that the renewable energy received power that is the received renewable energy power is derived from the renewable energy. The time division power certificate is then stored in a storage unit. The issuance unit, describes, in the time division power certificate, a power usage time division indicating a date, time, and time zone when the renewable energy power is received.
System, Apparatus and Method for Efficient Use of Solar Photovoltaic Energy
A solar photovoltaic (PV) water heating system includes a tank including at least a first heating unit having at least first and second heating elements, at least one of which is switchable; a PV solar collector; an inverter adapted to convert the output from the PV collector to an alternating power supply; a modulator to modulate the alternating power supply from the inverter; a controller adapted to control the modulator and the switching of the or each switchable heating element; wherein the controller is adapted to control the modulator and the switchable heating elements to maximize the energy drawn from the PV collector.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY CORRECTING POWER QUALITY SENSOR CONNECTIONS
A process in device may include measuring an electrical parameter of a monitored element through at least one connection with at least one transducer, determining whether the at least one connection to the monitored element is correct based on the electrical parameter with at least one processor, and outputting an error and potential fixes when the at least one connection to the monitored element is not correct with the at least one processor, and/or correcting electrical parameter data when the at least one connection to the monitored element is not correct with the at least one processor. The electrical parameter may include at least one of the following: voltage, current, phase, and/or polarity. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding computer systems, apparatus, and computer programs recorded on one or more computer storage devices, each configured to perform the actions of the methods.
