Salad spinner
A salad spinner includes a lid having a pull ring supported thereon and a strainer bowl having a strainer basket supported therein, the strainer basket having a pivotable strainer handle mounted on a chopper. The pull ring is configured to be angularly displaced away from the lid to impart a spinning motion to the strainer basket within the strainer bowl. The strainer handle defines a centrally disposed strainer aperture. The lid has a hex shaft that is removably coupled to the strainer aperture of the strainer handle. The hex drive shaft is further removably coupled to a hex opening of a chopper rod of a chopper. The hex drive shaft initiates the spinning motion to chop salad and to dry salad independently of each other.

Ground improvement apparatus
A ground improvement apparatus includes: an inner shaft arranged inside an outer pipe and including a mechanism for rotating a crank at a rotation speed four times as fast as that of the outer pipe; agitation blades supported by the outer pipe so as to reciprocate in a radial direction of the outer pipe and including discharge outlets; and a slider crank mechanism for converting a rotation movement of the crank to a reciprocating movement of the agitation blades. A ground at a location where the outer pipe is penetrated and a solidifying material discharged from the discharge outlets are agitated and mixed with each other to form an improved body having a substantially rectangular cross section by rotating the agitation blades while advancing and retreating the agitation blades relative to each other via the slider crank mechanism by rotation of the crank.

Cutter capable of cutting away obstructions disposed on the insides of pipes ranging in diameter from approximately eight inches to approximately fifteen inches or from approximately twelve inches to approximately twenty-four inches
A cutter is provided for cutting through obstructions disposed in the interior of pipes ranging in size from approximately 8″ to approximately 15″ in diameter or from approximately 12″ to approximately 24″ in diameter. The cutter has been reduced in size relative to known root cutters to be capable of being used with smaller-diameter pipes, but is sufficiently powerful to cut through obstructions, such as mineral deposits, for example, that known flexible cutters capable of being used with these smaller-diameter pipes are incapable of cutting through.

METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING THE CUTTING GAP OF A SLICING MACHINE AND SLICING MACHINE SUITABLE THEREFOR
In order to detect if and when a blade contacts a front surface of a cutting frame, a no-load torque of a blade motor or of the blade itself is measured when the blade approaches the cutting frame in an axial direction and checked for an increase.
