SIZE-REDUCTION MACHINE AND SIZE-REDUCTION UNIT THEREFOR
Size-reduction units, size-reduction machines, and methods capable of producing size-reduced products from a variety of solid and semisolid materials. A size-reduction unit includes a circular cutter adapted and arranged to cut a product into strips, a rotating cross-cutter adapted and arranged to receive the strips from the circular cutter, and a stripper plate. The cross-cutter has knives with cutting edges that are adapted and arranged to cut the strips into a size-reduced product, and the stripper plate defines a shear edge in proximity to the cutting edge of each knife of the cross-cutter as its cutting edge encounter the shear edge during rotation of the cross-cutter. The cross-cutter has a helical fluted shape comprising flutes between adjacent pairs of the knives.
Sanitary Tissue Product with a Shaped Line of Weakness
A roll of sanitary tissue product comprising a shaped line of weakness, where the roll of sanitary tissue product may exhibit a Full Sheet Average Trapezoidal Tear Strength of between about 8 g and about 20 g, as measured by the Full Sheet Average Trapezoidal Tear Force Method, and wherein the sanitary tissue product may exhibit a Geometric Mean Peak Elongation of greater than about 15%, as measured according to the Dry Tensile Strength Test Method.
DEVICE WITH QUICK CHANGE BLADES, FOR TRANSVERSE CUTTING OR PERFORATION, FOR THE WHOLE OF THE WIDTH AND PROGRESSIVELY, OF MOVING WEBS OF PAPER, PLASTIC OR OTHER MATERIALS
There is described a device with quick change blades for the transverse cutting or perforation, for the whole of the width and progressively, of continuous and moving webs of paper, plastic or other materials, also with different thicknesses, wherein the fixed blade assembly and the rotary blade assembly are installed on the side members of a main base frame, with the drive means and with the means for adjusting the parallelism and the degree of interference between said two blades, said main base frame being installed removably on a secondary base frame, with means for adjusting the transverse alignment of the same main frame with the blade assemblies with respect to the longitudinal axis of the web to be cut, to allow dynamic execution on this web of a cut perpendicular to the longitudinal sides of the same web, this device being provided with means that allow quick installation and, when necessary, replacement with a new device each time both said blades require in-depth maintenance and adjustments, all for the purpose of limiting the downtimes of the packaging machine during replacement of the same device.
A ROTATING BLADE DEVICE, A MACHINE COMPRISING SAID DEVICE, AND METHOD
The device includes a fixed counter-blade and a rotating blade-holder on which a set of rotating blades is arranged. A web material which must be perforated or cut into sheets passes between blade-holder and counter-blade. A mutual contact sensor and an angular position sensor provide signals that allow correct positioning and functioning of the rotating blades and the counter-blade to be displayed on a human-machine interface.
Plant trimmer
A leafy plant trimmer that is operable by a single person has a basket that is rotated in relation to a stationary sling in order to trim plants placed within the basket. The basket and the sling are housed within a trimmer body that is pivotally connected to a pivot stand. The trimmer body can be rotated between a product loading position for filling the basket and an in-use position for trimming the plants within the basket. A motor housed in the trimmer body spins the basket through a drive shaft. The motor is electrically connected to a timer such that the trimmer can be operated at designated time intervals. Trimmings are expelled from the trimmer body through a debris hole and collected below. A first receptacle attachment and a second receptacle attachment are positioned below the trimmer body and allow a receptacle to be positioned for collecting the trimmings.

Pallet construction line and assembly
An assembly and associated method for constructing a three dimensional article, such as a pallet, including a first station for feeding a sheet material in blank form, a second a second station for receiving and incising the blank, a third station for receiving the incised blank and which successively creases and folds the blank into an assembled article, and a fourth operator station for controlling each of said first, second and third stations. Also disclosed is a conveyor for removing the assembled article from the third station and transferring to a plastic coating operation.
Cutting system and anvil strip mounting apparatus and method
A method for cutting a moving source material including: rotating a cutting cylinder including a blade; positioning a structural member in spaced relation from the cutting cylinder, wherein the space between the cutting cylinder and the structural member receives the source material; and positioning an anvil in the space. The anvil engages the source material when it is displaced between the cutting cylinder and the structural member. The method also includes: directing the blade into contact with the source material, whereupon the source material is pressed against the anvil and is severed by the blade, and the anvil is displaced by the cutting blade from a first retracted position to a second activated position; and applying an increasing biasing force to the moving anvil as it is displaced toward the second activated position so as to direct the anvil back to its first retracted position.
CUTTING MACHINE
A cutting machine includes a platform, two supporting elements, a sliding plate, a handle and a blade assembly. The supporting elements are supported on the platform. Each of the supporting elements includes a space. The sliding plate is inserted in the space of the first supporting element and includes a slot. The handle includes a pivoting plate and an axle. The pivoting plate is inserted in the space of the second supporting element, and includes a primary aperture and a secondary aperture. The axle is inserted in the primary aperture of the pivoting plate and an aperture of the second supporting element. The blade assembly includes a blade and two pins. The first pin is inserted in an aperture of the blade and movably inserted in the slot. The second pin is inserted in another aperture of the blade and the secondary aperture of the pivoting plate.
