Foam modifiers for gypsum slurries, methods, and products
Disclosed is a foam modifier, e.g., useful for gypsum or cement slurries. The foam modifier comprises a fatty alcohol that is added to a gypsum or cement slurry that includes foaming agent, such as an alkyl sulfate surfactant. The fatty alcohol can be a C.sub.6-C.sub.16 fatty alcohol in some embodiments. The use of such a foam modifier can be used, for example, to stabilize the foam, reduce waste of foaming agent, improve void size control in the final product, and improve the gypsum board manufacturing process.

APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER-REINFORCED CONCRETE THROUGH SHOOTING AFTER INSERTING BUBBLES INTO NORMAL CONCRETE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing fiber-reinforced concrete through shooting after inserting bubbles into normal concrete and a method for manufacturing the same, which: form fiber-mixed concrete in which the bubbles, fiber-mixed materials, and silica fume are mixed in the normal concrete or form the fiber-mixed concrete in which aggregates, water, and the bubbles are put into and mixed with a mixture, in which cement, the fiber-mixed materials, and silica fume are mixed; and then shoots the fiber-reinforced concrete in which excessive air included in the fiber-mixed concrete is reduced by spraying the fiber-mixed concrete with the high-pressure air when the fiber-mixed concrete is discharged, and of which a slump, drastically increased due to the large amount of bubbles, is reduced to a range of the slump of the normal concrete, thereby improving the production capacity of the fiber-reinforced concrete and shortening operating time.
MIXER, MIXING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIGHTWEIGHT GYPSUM BOARD
[Object] Behavior of a flow of foam or foaming agent ejected to a gypsum slurry can be stabilized, and a relatively large amount of foam or foaming agent can be homogeneously or uniformly dispersed in the slurry.
[Solution] A mixer (10) has a mixing area (10a) for preparing gypsum slurry (3), a slurry delivery section (4) for delivering the slurry from the mixing area, and a feeding port (60) for feeding foam (M) or a foaming agent to the slurry in the mixing area and/or the slurry delivery section under pressure. The slurry having the foam mixed therein is supplied to a production line (1) for forming gypsum boards or gypsum-based boards. The feeding port is provided with a partition member (62,64,65) dividing an ejecting region (61,61). The ejecting region is divided into a plurality of openings (63), which simultaneously eject the foam or forming agent to the slurry.
