Thermoplastic compositions useful for roadway markings may be produced using a continuous systems and process methods that can reduce costs and improve product quality. Systems may comprise a feed system comprising a plurality of feeders and a mixing system comprising a mixer and a smoothing system. Each feeder may be configured to discharge a material at a feed rate according to a selected product formulation The mixing system may be configured to receive, heat, and combine the materials to produce a thermoplastic material, and discharge the thermoplastic material at a determined discharge rate.

Described herein is a production system including a unit, wherein the unit includes a subunit (1.1) for continuous manufacture of formulations. The subunit includes a combination of a small-volume process mixer and a buffer tank, means of feeding defined amounts of feedstocks into the process mixer, a measurement unit for ascertaining properties of a formulation manufactured in the process mixer, an evaluation unit for determining a deviation of properties of the formulation manufactured in the process mixer from the properties of a predefined target state, and a unit for adjusting the feed of feedstocks in view of the deviations. Also described herein is a process for manufacturing formulations.

The present disclosure provides an ultralow-glossiness, ultralow-temperature resistant ASA resin composition and preparation method thereof. The composition includes the following components in parts by weight: 2060 parts of an acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate graft copolymer, 4080 parts of an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer, 120 parts of an ultralow-glossiness, low temperature resistant modifier, and 0.15 parts of a processing aid. The ultralow-glossiness, low temperature resistant modifier includes a carrier copolymer, a fluorinated copolymer, a low-temperature flexibilizer, a coupling agent, fumed silica and an assistant. The ASA resin composition prepared by the present disclosure has an ultralow-glossiness, can be used to replace mold processing technology such leather marking and texturing, which greatly saves mold cost and processing production cost; and meanwhile it also has excellent low temperature resistance and can be applied in cases having requirements on low temperature resistance and low glossiness such as automobile parts, outdoor profiles, building materials and electrical appliances.

A method for processing pharmaceutical powders, which comprises providing a feeder module including a plurality of feeder units each with a storage hopper, a weighing cell, a conveyer, and a discharge end, connecting the storage hopper to a refilling system with a refilling valve, connecting the refilling valve to a level or weight indicator disposed above the refilling valve, connecting the discharge end to a common receiving container, refilling the storage hopper with a powder intermittently 40 to 80 times per hour, storing data during refilling, transporting powder from the storage hopper with the respective conveyer, and discharging powder from each feeder unit into the common receiving container. During each refilling of the storage hopper, the refilling valve dispenses powder into the storage hopper and, during the step of transporting the powder from the storage hopper, the conveyer is operated according to the data collected during previous refills.
