METHOD OF SEPARATING WASTE MATERIAL
A method of separating waste material to a plurality of separated materials is disclosed herein. The method is effected by subjecting the waste material to a separation according to specific gravity, to thereby obtain two or more fractions, and optionally subjecting one or more of said fractions to additional separation procedures, to thereby obtain two or more of a low-density polymeric material, a high-density polymeric material, a metal, a glass, an oil, and lignocelluloses. The disclosed method can further be effected by processing one or more of the separated materials to thereby obtain one or more processed materials of a beneficial use. Further disclose herein are separated and/or processed materials obtainable by the method, articles-of-manufacturing comprising same, and systems for separating and/or processing the waste material.
A MECHANICAL POLYOLEFIN RECYCLING PROCESS
A mechanical polyolefin recycling process. comprising a particular combination of processing steps in a given order, providing access to highly pure recycled polyolefin grades. having well balanced mechanical and optical properties that are superior to those typically seen in similar recycled polyolefin grades and a mechanical polyolefin recycling apparatus configured for carrying out the mechanical polyolefin recycling process
TREE AND PLANT WATERING MAT
One embodiment provides a modular green roof tray, house plant growth media and horticulture growth media, and a tree protection mat for weed and moisture control made from recycled disposable diapers. The growth medium and tree protection mat contain superabsorbent materials from diaper that can absorb waters and greatly reduce irrigation so to provide a drought resistant feature. One embodiment also provides a manufacturing process to perform 100% recycling of disposed diapers.
PROCESS FOR RECOVERY OF COMPONENT MATERIALS FROM COMPOSITE PRODUCTS COMPRISING UNCURED RUBBER AND REINFORCEMENT MATERIAL
The disclosure provides a process for the recovery of component materials from composite products, the process including: a) providing a composite product that comprises a plurality of component materials, the component materials including uncured rubber and reinforcement material selected from fabric and/or metal; b) preparing one or more standardised sheets of composite product, wherein each standardised sheet has a maximum thickness of 125 mm or less; and c) jetting pressurised water onto one or more surface of the standardised sheets, whereby the water is at a pressure of up to 500 bar, thereby stripping the uncured rubber from the reinforcement material and resulting in a mixture of uncured rubber fabric and reinforcement material.
Recycling of Fibrous Surface Coverings
Methods, compositions, single phase aqueous solutions, process mixtures, and kits are provided relating to recycling a fibrous surface covering, e.g., carpet, using a single-phase aqueous solution. For example, a method of recycling a fibrous surface covering may include providing the single phase aqueous solution. The single phase aqueous solution may include water and a surfactant composition. The method may include providing the fibrous surface covering. The fibrous surface covering may include: a fibrous surface layer; a first backing coupled to the fibrous surface layer; and a binder coupled to one or more of the first backing and the fibrous surface layer. The method may include contacting the single phase aqueous solution and the fibrous surface covering to form a process mixture under conditions effective to provide a recycled portion of the fibrous surface covering.
PLASTIC RECYCLING METHOD FOR PROCESSING PLASTIC WASTE
A plastic recycling method for processing plastic waste, including providing a plastic waste mixture stream having, on the one hand, a variable proportion of 2D material and a variable proportion of 3D material and, on the other hand, an inhomogeneous density distribution, the proportions varying over time. Washing both proportions of the plastic waste mixture stream together. Shredding both proportions of the plastic waste mixture stream together while supplying a cleaning fluid. Density-based separation of the plastic waste mixture stream into at least two fractions, wherein the separation is performed as a function of a predeterminable density separation cut; and for at least one of the separated fractions: separating the fraction of 2D material and the fraction of 3D material from each other.
Tree or plant protection mat
One embodiment provides a modular green roof tray, house plant growth media and horticulture growth media, and a tree protection mat for weed and moisture control made from recycled disposable diapers. The growth medium and tree protection mat contain superabsorbent materials from diaper that can absorb waters and greatly reduce irrigation so to provide a drought resistant feature. One embodiment also provides a manufacturing process to perform 100% recycling of disposed diapers.
Flotation type system and method for crushing, separating and washing waste plastics
Provided are flotation system and method for crushing, separating and washing waste plastics. In a direction of transporting materials, the flotation system includes a crusher, a flotation tank, a multi-functional rubbing and separating device, a washing tank and a dehydrator which are connected in turn; the flotation tank and the washing tank are disposed abreast; the floatation tank is a straight launder, and the washing tank is a U-shaped launder; and the discharge port of the flotation tank and the feeding port of the washing tank are connected via the multi-functional rubbing and separating device. The method is to crush the waste plastics first and then execute multiple stages of washing and separating. The flotation system and method herein are capable of improving the effect of washing waste plastics effectively and improving the quality of products.
Articles of Reclaimed Polypropylene Compositions
An article is disclosed that comprises at least about 95 weight percent reclaimed isotactic polypropylene base resin. The base resin comprises less than about 10 ppm Al, less than about 5 ppm Ti, and less than about 5 ppm Zn. The article is substantially free of odor and the base resin has a contrast ratio opacity of less than about 15%.
WASTE PLASTIC DENSITY SEPARATION
Methods and systems for separating mixed plastic waste are provided herein. The methods generally comprise separating the mixed plastic waste into a PET-enriched stream and one or more PET-depleted streams. The separating may be accomplished using the combinations of two or more density separation stages. Exemplary density separation stages include sink-float separators and centrifugal force separators. The PET-enriched and PET-depleted streams may be recovered and/or directed to downstream chemical recycling processes.
