The invention describes a method for manufacturing a plastic drain sheet, and a plastic drain sheet. For the purpose of manufacture, a sheet-like main body having a first surface and a second surface, spaced apart therefrom by a base sheet thickness, is provided. Grooves are introduced into the first surface and mating grooves are introduced into the second surface. The mating grooves and the grooves cross one another at crossing points. Through-openings between the grooves and the mating grooves are formed at the crossing points.

A decorative member that is a three-dimensional molding article includes a sheet, a lens portion, and an image-forming portion. The sheet has a light-transmitting property and has a first sheet surface that is curved. The lens portion is provided on the first sheet surface so as to curve along the curved surface. The lens portion has a plurality of protruding lenses disposed in parallel. A minimum value of widths of the lenses is in a range of 25.4 m or more and 508.0 m or less. The image-forming portion is provided on a second sheet surface, and an image is formed on the image-forming portion. The curved surface has a first region to a third region having different normal directions and has a shape in which one of the normal directions of the respective regions is inclined to a plane including the other two normal directions.

Discrete male touch fastener elements are molded of thermoplastic resin extending from a common, flexible base sheet, by introducing molten resin to a molding nip between two counter-rotating rolls consisting of a mold roll and a pressure roll arranged such that their rotation axes are parallel and together define a common plane containing each of the rotation axes. Solidified resin is stripped from molding cavities of the mold roll after the cavities have passed a rotating reaction roll forming a pressure nip with the mold roll. The reaction roll is spaced from the pressure roll by a distance less than an outer diameter of the mold roll, and the mold roll is simultaneously held against both the pressure roll and the reaction roll in a non-planar roll stack.

Apparatus and method for extruding an elastomer mixture
The extrusion apparatus includes a screw in a fixed barrel. The barrel has a feed inlet and an outlet with an extrusion nozzle which discharges into the nip between first and second rotary rolls that can rotate in opposite directions. The apparatus also has a first means for rotating and a first control means that are able to synchronize the speed of rotation of the first roll and the screw and has a second means that is able to rotate the second screw at a different speed of rotation than the first roll. The first control means can regulate the speed of rotation of the screw depending on the width of the strip, and a second control means can regulate the speed of rotation of the second roll depending on the thickness of the strip.

A grooved roller having a multiplicity of guide grooves running parallel to one another and in encircling fashion over the circumference of said grooved roller and serve for guiding strength members of flattened cross section before they enter a roller calender, which strength members have, in cross section, a first diameter and, perpendicular thereto, a second diameter, the second diameter is smaller than the first diameter, and the two diameters are each determined at the points with the greatest widths. The guide grooves each have a U-shaped cross section with a groove base extending parallel to the roller axis and with two groove walls extending perpendicularly to the roller axis. The groove base has a width which at least corresponds to, and is up to 5% greater than, the first diameter of the strength member, and the groove walls have a height which is 50% to 90% of the second diameter of the strength member.
Method and Apparatus for Forming a Corrugated Fluoropolymer Tube
A method of forming a corrugated fluoropolymer tube is disclosed. The method comprises the step of providing a tube comprising extruded fluoropolymer without corrugations or convolutions disposed on a mandrel. The mandrel has a first cylindrical portion and a flaring portion that extends to a second cylindrical portion, the second portion having an outer diameter which is larger than an outer diameter of the first portion. The method also includes the step of moving the tube on a longitudinal axis along the mandrel thereby forcing an outer surface of the tube into flights disposed at a pitch angle on a plurality of thread rollers which are rotating, the plurality of thread rollers adjacent to and circumferentially distributed around the flaring portion and/or second cylindrical portion of the mandrel, wherein external force is exerted on the outer surface of the tube to form corrugations having adjacent peaks and roots.
