The present invention relates to compositions comprising inulin and protein for reducing loss of muscle mass. The present invention also relates to a composition comprising inulin and protein, wherein said the ratio of said inulin to said protein is between 5/95 to 75/25 by weight. The present invention therefore also concerns the use of a composition comprising inulin and protein for the preparation of a food or a medicament.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS USING TRIGONELLINE TO PRODUCE INTRACELLULAR NAD+
Compositions consist essentially of trigonelline or consist of trigonelline. The compositions can be used in food or beverage applications, pharmaceutical formulations, or as a dietary supplement. The compositions can be administered to a mammal to promote the increase of intracellular levels of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (“NAD+”) in cells and tissues for improving cell and tissue survival or overall cell and tissue health.
