Method for micro-molding articles
A method is disclosed for micro-molding articles. The method comprises melting and pre-pressurizing thermoplastic material to a first level, within a plasticizing barrel. The melt pressure of the thermoplastic material is manipulated to a second level, within a hot runner. The melt pressure of the thermoplastic material is manipulated to an ultra-cavity packing pressure within a valve gate nozzle.
Injection molding device
An injection molding device and related method includes a mold plate with at least one pocket having at least one discharge opening to discharge melted plastic from the pocket into at least one mold cavity interconnected to the pocket and a nozzle including a housing, which during operation is interconnected to the pocket. Per discharge opening a needle is arranged displaceable in an axial direction in the housing between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position the needle closes the thereto related discharge opening and is thereby preventing melted plastic from flowing from the pocket into the at least one mold cavity. In the open position, the needle releases the discharge opening such that melted plastic flows from the pocket into the at least one mold cavity. Furthermore, a melt channel is discharging into the pocket to supply melted plastic into the pocket.
Method for manufacturing article and injection molding system
A method of manufacturing an article using injection molding includes a step of injecting resin from an injection nozzle having a valve pin via a resin flow path in a first mold (metal mold) into a cavity in the first mold, a step of inserting the valve pin into the resin flow path, extracting the valve pin from the resin flow path, starting to increase a distance between the injection nozzle and the first mold after extracting the valve pin, and a third step of, after starting to increase the distance between the injection nozzle and the first mold, injecting resin from the injection nozzle via a resin flow path in a second mold into a cavity in the second mold.
INSERT FOR AN INJECTION-MOULDING NOZZLE AND INJECTION-MOULDING NOZZLE HAVING SUCH AN INSERT
An insert for an injection-molding nozzle of an injection-molding device, wherein the injection-molding nozzle has a nozzle body which extends in a longitudinal direction and in which at least one melt duct for a flowable compound to be processed is formed along the longitudinal direction between a first end and a second end, wherein the at least one melt duct opens into a mold impression, formed in the injection mold, of the injection-molding device. The insert has a main body which extends along the longitudinal direction. The main body of the insert has a portion which, in the mounted position of the insert in the injection-molding device, is arranged in the region of the second end of the nozzle body, and a second portion which, in the mounted position of the insert in the injection-molding device, is supported on a tool plate of the injection-molding device.
COMPONENT OF AN INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS
A component of an injection molding apparatus for conveying a flow of molten plastic material from a supply channel to an injection channel coaxially crossed by a shutter, said component comprising a body provided with a central part crossed by a through hole defining a longitudinal axis for the passage of said shutter; a first bulkhead protruding from said central part, distal from an end edge of the through hole and adapted to be arranged at one end of the supply channel for dividing the flow of molten plastic material into two portions; a second bulkhead and a third bulkhead, protruding in a diametrically opposite manner from said central part, separated from each other by the through hole and proximal to said end edge of the through hole, and adapted to be arranged at one end of the injection channel to accompany said two flow portions in said injection channel; wherein the first bulkhead is arranged on the same side as the third bulkhead with respect to said central part, and wherein a first lateral surface and a second lateral surface are arranged at a first side and a second side, opposite the first side, of said first bulkhead, respectively, to accompany said two flow portions from said first bulkhead toward the second bulkhead and the third bulkhead.
Process and apparatus for injection molding of plastic materials
A method for injection molding of plastic material by means of at least one injector whose pin valve can be displaced between a fully closed position and a maximum controlled fashion according to a position and speed of the pin valve. During displacement of the pin valve from the fully closed position to the maximum open position, and/or vice versa, the pin valve is stopped in intermediate positions and the displacement speed thereof is uniform and constant. An initial opening step at maximum speed and one or more steps of inversion of the motion of the pin valve can be provided for.
Method to chase weld lines by timing and positioning of gates
An apparatus and method for eliminating mold lines when molding a part having ferromagnetic pigments is provided. A mold assembly having a mold with a cavity and valve gates is formed. Pucks are fitted at the gates to collect residual cold plastic. The calculation of a specific sequence and timing of the opening of the valve gates is determined based on a calculation of the total number of valve gates needed to fill a part while maintaining acceptable injection molding pressure. Once calculated, the gates are positioned around the mold cavity to balance flow length ratio. A primary gate is chosen for initial injection. The time for the material to flow from the first to the second gate is established. The second gate is opened after the flow front reaches the second gate. This pattern continues until all valve gates are opened.
HOT RUNNER APPARATUS, METHOD FOR BRANCHING MOLTEN RESIN IN THE HOT RUNNER APPARATUS, AND INJECTION STRETCH BLOW MOLDING MACHINE
An aim of the present invention is to enable a molten resin to be fed from a hot runner apparatus into preform molding portions of an injection molding mold without a higher temperature and lower viscosity resin being present in a biased manner and to enable preforms having no biased portion of a higher temperature and lower viscosity resin in their circumferential direction.
An introducing runner portion (18) of a hot runner apparatus (9) is bent toward a horizontal runner portion (15) after reaching an elevation plane (A) passing through a position of the horizontal runner portion (15) in an up-and-down direction and continuous with an intermediate portion of the horizontal runner portion (15) in the elevation plane (A).
INJECTION MOLDING DEVICE
A hot runner-type injection structure 4 is provided with: a hot runner nozzle 5; and a valve pin 6 that is provided to be able to advance and retreat in the axial line O1 direction inside the flow passage of the hot runner nozzle 5 and that opens/closes the flow passage by coming into contact/being spaced apart from a valve opening/closing part 13 which has a tip part disposed on the tip side of the hot runner nozzle 5, wherein a heat insulating groove 16, which is recessed inward toward the axial line O1 side from an outer circumferential surface and extends in the circumferential direction, is provided on the outer periphery in a valve pin contact section M in which the valve opening/closing part 13 of the hot runner nozzle 5 is formed.
