A conveyance portion having a flight is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the screw body. The flight is configured to convey the raw material along the axis of the screw body when the screw body is rotated. A passage for permitting the raw material fed by the flight to pass therethrough to the outer peripheral surface of the screw body is provided in the screw body in a position deviated from the axis of the screw body.
Extruder screw with conveying portions and barrier portions and extrusion methods using the extruder screw and a plurality of barrel blocks
An extruder includes a screw for extruder provided with a screw element for kneading a raw material, and a barrel including a cylinder portion in which the screw is inserted so as to be rotatable. A plurality of screw elements identical with the screw element are provided in a longitudinal direction of the screw under a certain rule. The barrel is integrated by combining a plurality of barrel blocks blocked. Each of the plurality of barrel blocks is configured in accordance with a length of the screw element provided in the longitudinal direction of the screw.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING WATER-ABSORBING RESIN POWDER
Provided is a method for producing a water-absorbing resin powder excellent in water absorption speed. The method for producing a water-absorbing resin powder includes a polymerization step of polymerizing an aqueous monomer solution to obtain a crosslinked hydrogel polymer and a gel-crushing step of crushing the crosslinked hydrogel polymer after the polymerization step using a gel-crushing device to obtain a crosslinked particulate hydrogel polymer, in which the gel-crushing device includes an input port, a discharge port, and a main body incorporating a plurality of rotation axes each including a crusher, and in the gel-crushing step, the crosslinked hydrogel polymer is continuously put into the input port and the crosslinked particulate hydrogel polymer is continuously taken out from the discharge port, the crosslinked hydrogel polymer to be put into the input port has a rate of polymerization of 90 mass % or more, a gel-crushing coefficient is 0.020 J/g.Math.sec or more and 3.0 J/g.Math.sec or less, and the crosslinked particulate hydrogel polymer discharged from the discharge port has a mass average particle diameter of 500 m or less as converted to a solid content.
Apparatus and method for extruding rubber mixtures
An extrusion apparatus intended for the manufacture of a coextruded profiled element P for tyres, produced from rubber compounds of various compositions, comprises a profiling device (30) arranged at the outlet of at least two flow channels (34, 35) for rubbery compounds of different composition. The said channels receive the compounds from positive-displacement contrarotating twin-screw extruders (10, 20), the screw flights interpenetrating and having conjugated profiles.
EXTRUDER COMPRISING A PARTICULAR ARRANGEMENT OF ASYMMETRICAL SCREW ELEMENTS ON SCREW SHAFTS
The present invention relates to a multishaft extruder having screw shafts that rotate in the same sense and at the same speed, wherein these screw shafts each have at least one region having a special arrangement of screw elements, wherein the screw elements have an asymmetrical cross-sectional screw profile. In this case, these in each case at least one regions are situated directly opposite on directly adjacent screw shafts. The present invention also provides for the use of the extruder of the invention for processing or production of plastic or viscoelastic masses.
Biaxially stretched porous film
A film that comprises a thermoplastic composition that contains a continuous phase that includes a polyolefin matrix polymer and a nanoinclusion additive dispersed within the continuous phase in the form of discrete domains is provided. The film is biaxially stretched in a machine direction and cross-machine direction to form a porous network in the composition. The porous network contains nanopores having a maximum cross-sectional dimension of about 800 nanometers or less. At least a portion of the nanopores are oriented in the cross-machine direction so that the axial dimension generally extends in the cross-machine direction and the cross-sectional dimension generally extends in the machine direction.
SCREW FOR EXTRUDER COMPRISING A PASSAGE CROSSING OVER BETWEEN ADJACENT CYLINDRICAL BODIES
A screw includes a screw main body, a conveyance portion conveying a raw material, and a passage provided in the screw main body. The passage includes a first passage element, a second passage element, and a third passage element. The screw main body has a plurality of cylindrical bodies arranged in an axial direction of the rotating shaft. At least a portion of the conveyance portion is formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical bodies adjacent to each other, and the passage is formed in the cylindrical body so as to cross over between the adjacent cylindrical bodies.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOLDING COMPOUND HAVING IMPROVED PROPERTIES
The invention relates to a method for producing a molding compound having improved properties. In particular, the invention relates to the production of a molding compound containing a polycarbonate and a reinforcing filler. According to the invention, said molding compound can be obtained by compounding a polycarbonate and the reinforcing filler by means of multi-shaft extruder having screw shafts arranged annularly with respect to one another. The reinforcing filler is preferably selected from one or more members of the group comprising the members titanium dioxide (TiO.sub.2), talc (Mg.sub.3Si.sub.4O.sub.10(OH).sub.2), dolomite (CaMg[CO.sub.3].sub.2). kaolinite (Al.sub.4[(OH).sub.8|Si.sub.4O.sub.10]) and wollastonitc (Ca.sub.3[Si.sub.3O.sub.9]), preferably from one or more members of the group comprising the members titanium dioxide (TiO.sub.2) and talc (Mg.sub.3Si.sub.4O.sub.10(OH).sub.2). According to the invention, tlie concentration of reinforcing filler is 3 to 50 wt % in relation to the total mass of tlie molding compound.
