Also, the paste that can result from said method, and to the uses thereof, in pure or diluted form, in particular for the manufacture of Li-ion batteries and super-capacitors.
EXTRUSION DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR EXTRUDING A SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT MADE OF ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL
The invention relates an extrusion device (100) for extruding a semi-finished product made of elastomeric material, comprising an extrusion body (10) extending along a feeding direction (A) and a pump (20) arranged downstream of the extrusion body (10) along said feeding direction (A). The extrusion body (10) comprises a hopper (30) for loading an elastomeric material and an extrusion screw (50) extending along said feeding direction (A) and having an inlet portion (50a) arranged close to the hopper (30) and an exit portion (50b) arranged close to the pump (20). The extrusion body (10) also comprises a motorised roller (40) arranged at the inlet portion (50a) of the extrusion screw (50) and configured to receive the elastomeric material from the hopper (30) and feed it to the extrusion screw (30). The extrusion screw (50) has a length and a diameter such that the ratio between length and diameter is comprised between 4 mm and 8 mm. The invention also relates to an extrusion process carried out through the aforementioned extrusion device (100).
Multi-layer film with improved modulus properties
The invention relates to a multi-layer, preferably co-extruded, plastic film with improved modulus properties, which is suitable, in particular, for producing three-dimensionally shaped articles.

Extruding system and method of extruding a mixture of a polymeric material and a blowing agent
An extruding system includes a mixing unit configured to mix a polymeric material with a blowing agent and to form a mixture, and an injection unit coupled to the mixing unit and configured to inject the mixture. The mixing unit includes a mixing cartridge, a first mixing screw and a second mixing screw, the first and second mixing screws are disposed in the mixing cartridge. A method of extruding a mixture includes mixing a polymeric material and a blowing agent in a mixing cartridge of a mixing unit by at least one of a first and second mixing screws to form the mixture; conveying the mixture from the mixing unit to an injection unit; and discharging the mixture from the injection unit into a molding device. The mixture is sequentially in contact with the first mixing screw and the second mixing screw.
EXTRUSION APPARATUS AND METHODS
Extrusion apparatus and methods for use in the design and operation of extrusion screws having multiple channels. In response to rotation of an extrusion screw in an extrusion process, the multiple channels of the extrusion screw can control the temperature, pressure, and/or shear rate of feedstock material flowing through the respective channels. The multiple channels of the extrusion screw can be configured to control the temperature, the pressure, and/or the shear rate of the processed feedstock material by being modeled as one or more model objects having one or more predetermined geometries. The models of the respective channels can then be analyzed using computerized analytical and/or numerical techniques in order to obtain at least estimates of desired temperatures, pressures, and/or shear rates of the processed feedstock material, based at least on specified channel lengths, channel widths, and/or channel depths of the respective channel models.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PATTERNED FLOOR COVERING AND PATTERNED FLOOR COVERING
A method for manufacturing a patterned floor covering is disclosed. The method includes: providing a first component a second component and a third component, manufacturing an intermediate product by mixing the first component and the second component in a mixing device, further processing the intermediate product into a web-shaped floor covering, the second intermediate product being reshaped.
The present disclosure further relates to a patterned floor covering obtainable by the method.
Composite material having a very low content of carbon-based nanofillers, process for the preparation thereof and uses thereof
A composite material containing a polymer composition and a very low concentration of carbon nanofillers, in particular carbon nanotubes, having improved mechanical properties. The method for producing said composite material and to the different uses thereof. The use of carbon nanofillers at a concentration of between 0.1 ppm and 99 ppm in order to improve mechanical properties, in particular the tensile properties of a polymer matrix encasing at least one polymer selected from a thermoplastic polymer alone or mixed with an elastomer resin base, while facilitating the shaping thereof into composite parts using any suitable technique, in particular injection, extrusion, compression or molding, and while improving the electrostatic dissipation capability thereof.
