COEXTRUDED SOLAR PANEL BACKSHEET AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An improved backsheet used in the construction of solar panels is disclosed. A method of manufacturing the backsheet and solar panel comprising the backsheet, including coextrusion processes are also disclosed. Additionally, a photovoltaic solar panel module comprising the backsheet is disclosed. The backsheet may comprise an exterior layer, a middle layer, and an interior layer. The exterior layer, middle layer, and interior layer may be adjoined, adhered, or affixed via a co-extrusion process, thereby eliminating the need for the use of adhesives for bonding the layers of the backsheet together. There is also disclosed a backsheet which may comprise an exterior layer, an intermediate exterior layer, a middle layer, an intermediate interior layer, and an interior layer. The exterior layer, intermediate exterior layer, middle layer, intermediate interior layer, and interior layer may be adjoined, adhered, or affixed via a co-extrusion process, thereby eliminating the need for the use of adhesives for bonding the layers of the backsheet together. The backsheets improve upon the efficiency, strength, weather resistance, cost, and useful life of the solar panels in which the backsheets are incorporated.

Process for the preparation of a metal-organic compound
A process for the preparation of a metal-organic compound, said metal-organic compound comprising at least one metal ion and at least one organic ligand, wherein said organic ligand is capable of associating with said metal ion, comprising at least the steps of; providing a first reactant comprising at least one metal in ionic form; providing a second reactant comprising at least one organic ligand capable of associating with said metal in ionic form; and admixing said first and second reactants under conditions of prolonged and sustained pressure and shear sufficient to synthesize said metal-organic compound.
Method for granulating pharmaceutical powder
Methods for granulating a pharmaceutical powder in a single piece of equipment include at least the following: (a) continuously introducing the pharmaceutical powder and a granulating fluid to the single piece of equipment, (b) passing the pharmaceutical powder and the granulating fluid through a granulating zone of the single piece of equipment to form wet granules, (c) passing the wet granules through a drying zone of the single piece of equipment, (d) optionally passing granules through a discharge zone of the single piece of equipment, and (e) continuously discharging the granules from the single piece of equipment where the single piece of equipment is not a fluid bed processor.
APPARATUS, PROCESS, AND EXTRUSION SCREW FOR PRODUCING SYNDET SOAPS
The present disclosure is related to apparatuses, processes, and extrusion screws directed to process solid detergent compositions in shapes like billets, bars, tablets, noodles, and similar shapes produced from extruded synthetic detergents, soaps, and combinations thereof. The present disclosure describes an extrusion screw for processing synthetic detergents, soaps, and combinations thereof. The extrusion screw comprises a feed section, a metering section, and a compression section. Said compression section has a proximal channel depth adjacent to the feed section, and a distal channel depth adjacent to the metering section, and a compression ratio that may be between 2.2, and 4.1, for example, between 2.2, and 2.6. The extrusion screw may have a length to diameter ratio (L/D) that may be between 4.0, and 6.0. The present disclosure also describes an apparatus for processing synthetic detergents, soaps, and combinations thereof. The apparatus comprises a barrel and said extrusion screw. The present disclosure also describes a process for extruding solid synthetic detergents, soaps, and combinations thereof. The process comprises a step of providing a formulation that may be selected from synthetic detergent, and half-synthetic soap to said apparatus, and compressing said formulation at a temperature between 32° C., and 42° C. with a compression section of the extrusion screw. The screw rotation speed of the extrusion screw may be between 4, and 20 RPM. The formulation may be provided prewarmed. The screw rotation speed of the extrusion screw may be between 4, and 35 RPM (e.g., between 4 and 20 RPM).
