Method and system for manufacturing an irrigation pipe
A piece insertion method for a pipe, for example an irrigation pipe, including: ejecting at least one piece, for example a dripper, from an ejection unit, advancing the at least one dripper inside the irrigation pipe by a dripper advancing unit, lifting the dripper towards the inner surface of the irrigation pipe by using a lifting device such that the dripper is parallel or substantially parallel to this inner surface of the irrigation pipe on impact with this inner surface. The method according to the invention allows also coordination between the lifting device, the ejection unit and the dripper advancing unit such that the dripper spacing can be maintained in tight tolerances.
CALIBRATION CAGE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BLOWN FILMS
A calibration cage for the production of a blown film is provided. It has a supporting structure and a plurality of frames rotatable in the horizontal plane which are pivoted along the perimeter of the supporting structure at the vertices of a regular polygon, each frame carrying a vertical rod rotatable with respect thereto which in turn carries at least one element for guiding a blown film, each vertical rod being connected to the vertical rods adjacent thereto through connection elements that are rigid in the horizontal plane yet have a length variable in the plane, each connection element being pivoted between two horizontal pivots each of which forms with a vertical radial plane having the axis of rotation of the respective vertical rod an angle that is equal to half of the internal angle () of the regular polygon.
Calibrating device for a blown film tube
A calibration device for calibrating a film hose produced via a blow-extrusion film device, by which the film hose can be brought into a desired diameter, has at least one film guiding element, by which the film hose can be guided. The film guiding element includes at least one elastically deformable element.
COEXTRUSION PROCESSES AND PRODUCTS PRODUCED THEREROM
A method of coextruding polymeric materials into multiple layers of desired thickness to form a tubular workpiece. The method includes conveying a first polymeric material through a main extruder and a second polymeric material through a coextruder. The second polymeric material has dispersed therein an amount of electrically conductive particles effective to impart electrical conductivity to the tubular workpiece. The method further includes simultaneously extruding the first polymeric material and the second polymeric material through a coextrusion die to form the tubular workpiece. The tubular workpiece is extruded in the form of one or more outer layers having the first polymeric material and one or more inner layers comprising the second polymeric material. A tubular workpiece prepared by the method of coextruding polymeric materials into multiple layers of desired thickness. A system for coextruding polymeric materials into multiple layers of desired thickness to form a tubular workpiece is also provided.
Extrusion process for tubular member
An extrusion system for the production of polymeric tubes and a method of extruding polymeric tubes which reduce or obviate deformation or collapse of the polymeric tube upon egress from a die of an extruder.
Extruded polycarbonate sticker for spacing wood
A sticker for spacing wood is extruded from an alloy that includes polycarbonate resin and polysulfone resin. The sticker can have a variety of different configurations, including a top surface that includes contact points that have an area substantially smaller than the area of the top surface, a single or multiple internal longitudinal hallow chambers separated by multiple reinforcing members, longitudinal external grooves that allow airflow, lateral external grooves that intersect the longitudinal external grooves, curved sides for a version where the stickers are placed manually, and substantially straight sides for a version where the stickers are placed by a machine. The sticker is extremely durable and can withstand hundreds or thousands of drying cycles.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING PIPING OR TUBING
A system for preparing a cross-linked polyethylene a (PEX-a) pipe. The system includes a heating device with a chamber having a central axis, an inlet, and an outlet; oscillating infrared (IR) lamps and a water-cooling apparatus for cooling the temperature in the chamber, and a controller having a program code for regulating oscillation of the IR lamp, an extruder for conveying a cross-linkable feedstock into the chamber, and a pipe head for forming the PEX-a pipe.
Methods and installations for producing a biaxially oriented tube from thermoplastic material
A method for producing a biaxially oriented tube from thermoplastic material, wherein a tube in preform condition is extruded from thermoplastic material and is subjected to a temperature conditioning. Use is made of an expansion device and of a drawing device which is arranged downstream of the expansion device. The expansion device includes a non-deformable expansion part and a run-on part located upstream of the expansion part and having an upstream sealing member. The expansion device further includes a first gas discharge duct having one or more first inlet ports in the exterior surface of the expansion device, a first inlet port being open or closed or partly closed dependent on whether or not the first inlet port is covered and closed, or partly closed, by the tube.
Apparatus and methods for manufacturing biodegradable, compostable, drink straws from polyhydroxyalkanoate material
Apparatus and methods for manufacturing compostable, biodegradable drink straws from polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) material are disclosed herein. Such apparatus may include a hopper that contains raw PHA material, an extruder that receives the raw PHA material from the hopper and produces extruded PHA material, one or more waters baths that cool the extruded PHA material, a puller that pulls a tubular stream of PHA material through the system, and a cutter that is configured to cut the stream of PHA material into finished straws. The finished straws may be soil- and marine-biodegradable, as well as home- and industrial-compostable.
A method for manufacturing the sticker includes pulling an extrusion with a puller that includes a plurality of teeth that provide a first plurality of lateral grooves running substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the extrusion in a top and bottom surface of the extrusion.
