System and method for reducing draw resonance in plants for the production of plastic film
A system and method for reducing draw resonance of plastic material in the molten state, so-called melt, leaving an extrusion group of a plant for the production of plastic film, includes at least one thermostatically-controlled cylinder, having an embracement angle, of the melt on the cylinder, adjustable on the basis of the process rate, i.e. the linear movement speed of the plastic film, and/or on the basis of the temperature measured in the proximity of or in correspondence with the clamping area of the melt in a thermoforming, calibration and cooling group included in the plant and positioned downstream of the system.
Biaxially oriented polyester film for metal lamination
The invention relates to a multilayer biaxially oriented polyester film comprising a base layer B, an amorphous outer layer A and a further outer layer C, where this polyester film is suitable for lamination with metal sheets. The invention in particular relates to a polyester film which comprises (based on the mass of polyester) from 2 to 15% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the base layer and which comprises more than 19% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the amorphous layer A, and which has a silane-based coating on the outer layer A. The invention further relates to a process for the production of these films.
FILM-MAKING MACHINE FOR PRODUCING STRETCH FILM
A film-making machine that produces stretch film includes an outlet device with an outlet gap for outlet of free-flowing film material and a rotatably mounted casting roll that receives the released free-flowing film material on a surface of the casting roll, and a cleaning device with a rotatably mounted cleaning roll that contacts the film material lying on the surface of the casting roll, wherein the cleaning device has an adjusting mechanism with a circumferential adjustment that adjusts a cleaning position of the cleaning roll along a circumferential direction of the casting roll.
PATTERNED MICROPOROUS BREATHABLE FILM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE PATTERNED MICROPOROUS BREATHABLE FILM
Microporous breathable films include a polyolefin and an inorganic filler dispersed in the polyolefin.
Thermoregulation system of rotating metal cylinders in plants for extrusion and conversion/transformation of plastic films by infrared heaters
A thermoregulation system of rotating metal cylinders in plants for the extrusion and conversion/transformation of plastic films includes heating elements applied to each rotating cylinder, wherein the heating elements are infrared heating elements, and wherein the rotating cylinder includes a metal tube rotating around a fixed shaft, which is rigidly connected to two side plates.
COEXTRUSION MACHINE FOR ELASTOMERIC COMPOUNDS, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PROFILED ELEMENT STRIP
The machine includes an extrusion head having flow ducts, the inlet orifices of which are connected to the outlets of at least two extruders for supplying extruded strips made of elastomeric compounds. The outlet orifices lead into a die which is adjacent to a roller and is designed to cooperate with the latter to shape the profiled element strip. The roller has a central axis surrounded by an external surface intended to receive the profiled element strip and a means for driving the roller in rotation about its central axis. The flow ducts are mutually parallel and are perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the roller, and the profiled element strip is joined to the receiving surface of the roller along an equivalent length of at least 700 mm.
GAS-PERMEABLE BARRIER FILM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE GAS-PERMEABLE BARRIER FILM
Gas-permeable barrier films include a polyolefin and an inorganic filler dispersed in the polyolefin. Methods for forming polymeric films and articles of manufacture prepared therefrom are described.
EXTRUDING CONNECTED HOLLOW STRANDS
A web. The web includes an array of discrete polymeric tubes; a plurality of spacer segments between at least a plurality of adjacent polymeric tubes; wherein polymeric tubes are hollow polymeric tubes; wherein the web is a continuous web.
