A handle pocket wedge block is inserted into a handle pocket of the integral handle of the preform within the first mold and the second mold.
Blow-molded syringe for use with an injector
A syringe for use in pressurized injection of a fluid is provided herein. The syringe includes a syringe barrel comprising a polymeric material having undergone expansion by stretch blow molding and by compression molding of an inner diameter of the barrel with a core member. In certain configurations of the syringe barrel, the stretch blow molding is provided through a nozzle of the syringe. Similarly, according to a further embodiment, a syringe for use in pressurized injection of a fluid is provided. The syringe includes a syringe barrel comprising a polymeric material having undergone expansion by stretch blow molding and by shrinking an inner diameter of the syringe barrel about a core member.
Stretching and cooling rod for forming containers
Provided is a stretching rod for a molding unit for manufacturing a container from a preform and a method for manufacturing a container by stretch blow-molding. The stretching rod extends longitudinally, parallel to a main axis Y, and comprises a body of cylindrical or tubular form, a distal end in the extension of said body, at least one internal channel to allow the circulation of a cooling gas to said distal end, a flat situated at the distal end of the stretching rod, an end-fitting protruding from said flat and a plurality of orifices, said orifices being fluidically connected with said internal channel and being distributed around said end-fitting on said flat. The rod can include an annular skirt in the extension of said body, at said distal end, said skirt having a height less than the height of said end-fitting.
Blow moulded container and manufacture thereof
A method of forming a blow molded container in the form of a tub, the method comprising the steps of: providing an injection molded preform composed of a biaxially-orientable thermoplastic material, the preform being substantially planar; heating the preform; and stretch blow molding the heated preform within a mold cavity to form a tub having a bottom wall and an annular sidewall having an upper edge, the tub comprising biaxially oriented thermoplastic material in the annular sidewall and at least an outer portion of the bottom wall, the stretch blow molding step using at least one stretch rod to engage an inner side of the preform and axially to stretch at least a part of the preform prior to blowing a pressurized gas against the inner side which urges the opposite side of the preform radially outwardly against the mold.
Stretching rod for forming containers
The present invention relates to a stretching rod (1) for a molding unit (15) for manufacturing a container (2) from a preform (3) and to a method for manufacturing a container (2) by stretch blow molding. 5
Said stretching rod (1) extends longitudinally, parallel to a main axis Y, and comprises a body (4) of cylindrical or tubular form, a distal end (5) in the continuation of said body (4), a flat (6) situated at the distal end (5) of the stretching rod (1) and an end fitting (7) protruding from said flat (6). Said rod (1) is characterized in that it comprises an annular skirt (8) in the continuation of said body (4), at said distal end (5), said skirt 10 (8) having a height (80) less than the height (70) of said end fitting (7).
RESIN BOTTLE AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
To provide a resin container and a method for manufacturing the same with which it is possible to generate more effervescence than hitherto. This resin container is provided with: a resin container main body inside which is formed an accommodating space that is hermetically sealed using a cap; and a textured region which is formed on an inner surface of the container main body and is formed from a rough surface.
FORMING HEAD WITH INTEGRATED SEAL PIN/STRETCH ROD AND VARIOUS SEALING GEOMETRIES
A hydraulic blow molding system for forming a container from a preform by injecting a liquid product into the preform. The system includes a seal pin located within the forming head and moveable between a closed position and an opened position. In the closed position a sealing portion of the seal pin is in sealing engagement with a portion of the forming head so that an exit orifice is closed and liquid product is prevented from being injected into the preform. In the opened position, the sealing portion is disengaged from the portion of the injection head so that the exit orifice is open and the liquid product can be injected into the preform.
PREFORMS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PREFORMS
The invention relates to a preform for producing a plastic container in a 2-stage stretch blow molding method, said preform having a preform body that extends along a central axis and that comprises: a first end a second end that lies opposite the first end, wherein the first end is closed and a neck part with a pouring opening adjoins the second end; and an inner wall that delimits an interior of the preform. Along a length of at least 30 mm of the interior, every point of the inner wall is at a distance of less than 3.5 mm from the central axis. Also disclosed are a suitable method and a device for producing such a preform.
STRETCH BLOW MOLDING PROCESS
A stretch blow molding process for producing a plastic container from a preform, having an elongated, tubular preform body, extending along a center axis. The first end of the preform body is closed by a preform bottom and the second end is adjoined by a neck part with a pouring opening. A wall, bounds an interior space of the preform. The preform body is heated and introduced into a cavity of a blow mold. A stretching mandrel enters the preform until the stretching mandrel tip reaches the preform bottom. The preform body and the preform bottom are stretched by the stretching mandrel. The preform body and the preform bottom are deformed by introducing a fluid into the preform under pressure. The stretching mandrel makes contact with the inner side of the wall in the region of the preform body.
Method and apparatus for forming and filling a container
A system for simultaneously forming and filling a container having a mold cavity defining an internal surface and adapted to accept a preform. The system includes a servo pressure system having an inlet and an outlet operable to output fluid, such as a liquid commodity, and a blow nozzle receiving the fluid from the servo pressure source and transferring the fluid at a pressure into the preform thereby urging the preform to expand toward the internal surface of the mold cavity and creating a resultant container, wherein the fluid remains within the container as an end product and wherein the servo pressure system and the blow nozzle output the fluid at a rate sufficient to fully form and fill the container in less than about 0.5 seconds.
