A resin connector (10) includes a tubular connector main body portion (11) which is formed to contain a reinforcing filler in a main portion base material resin, and a tubular connector end portion (12) which is formed of a end portion base material resin without containing the reinforcing filler or containing the reinforcing filler at a lower proportion than the connector main body portion (11) and is joined to the connector main body portion (11) to constitute a tubular end portion. The resin tube (20) is formed of a material having a higher absorption rate of a laser beam than the connector end portion (12) and is fitted to the connector end portion (12) to be welded to an inner peripheral surface or an outer peripheral surface of the connector end portion (12) and not to be welded to the connector main body portion (11).

Systems and methods for controlling a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes causing provision of negative pressure, via a flow path, to a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound, the flow path configured to fluidically connect the pump system to the wound dressing, measuring a first pressure value in the flow path at a first time, measuring a second pressure value in the flow path at a second time, calculating a first rate of pressure change using the first and second pressure values, and in response to determining that the calculated first rate of pressure change satisfies a threshold rate of change, providing an indication that the wound dressing is full, wherein the method is performed under control of a controller of the pump system.

A welding device includes a pair of pressure rollers for pressurizing a web and a strip member, a feed device configured to intermittently or continuously feed the web and the strip member through the pair of pressure rollers, and the laser device configured to irradiate the web or the strip member with a laser beam at a position upstream of the pair of pressure rollers. The welding device may include a movement device configured to move the pair of pressure rollers upstream with respect to the web and the strip member during pause or stop of feed. Alternatively, the feed device may pause or stop the web and the strip member after retracting the web and the strip member by a certain length.

A fixing and/or screen element, opaque to the light beam is associated with the first light guide at a first interface wall, and is fixed either directly or indirectly onto the container body to mechanically block the first light guide onto the container body. The first light guide is mechanically fixed to the fixing and/or screen element by at least one first welding portion which projects from the first interface wall.

A laser-weldable composition and method using the same, said composition comprising at least one amorphous polyamide made from the polycondensation of at least an acyclic aliphatic diamine comprising at least 10 carbon atoms and/or at least an acyclic aliphatic diacid comprising at least 10 carbon atoms, and at least a phthalic acid selected from the group consisting of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid, at least one flat glass fiber; and at least one organic dye which absorbs radiation at a wavelength from 800 to 1400 nm.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY APPARATUS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for controlling a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes applying a drive signal to a pump assembly of the pump system, the drive signal alternating between a positive amplitude and a negative amplitude and the drive signal having an offset, and sampling a pressure within a fluid flow path configured to connect the pump system to a wound dressing configured to be placed over a wound during one or more time intervals. Each of the one or more time intervals can occur when the drive signal is approximately at an amplitude equal to one or more sampling amplitudes.
