Cold brew compositions and methods
Cold-brewed compositions and methods for preparing them are disclosed that comprise the general steps of: (a) adding together ingredients comprising unheated aqueous liquid, a variety of brewing ingredients, and emulsion stabilizers comprising polysaccharides to obtain various aqueous mixtures; (b) grinding brewing ingredients amidst the obtained aqueous mixtures for a period of 30 seconds to three minutes to obtain various dispersions of finely ground brewing particles; and (c) removing brewing particles large enough to be detected by the tongue or mouth to obtain a variety of novel cold-brewed compositions that possess stabilized emulsions.

Methods of treating muscle, wounds, surgical procedures, skin conditions and other conditions using such compositions are also provided.

Protein Supplement System
What is disclosed is a protein supplement drink mix comprising at least one base protein powder and a plurality of separately packaged second components, each second component having at least one different active ingredient pre-selected for the physiological needs regarding a pre-determined activity, age, and/or gender demographic. The first component and the second component are mixed generally with a liquid to provide a base for a protein drink, although a liquid can form a portion of the first component or second components.

Method for preparing inhibited starch with improved warehouse storage stability
A method for preparing an inhibited starch with improved warehouse storage stability is disclosed, wherein it comprises the steps of a) providing a slurry containing a native granular starch obtained from a starch containing raw material, b) adding at least one amino acid, or a combination of two or more of these, and at least one oxidant to the slurry with a view to inhibiting the granular starch, c) adding at least one organic acid or a bisulfite to the slurry with a view to eliminating residual reactant chemicals, off-tastes, and undesired smell, and d) adding at least one antioxidant to the slurry with a view to stabilizing the achieved inhibition of the starch during warehouse storage, as well as an inhibited starch with improved warehouse storage stability prepared with said method, use of said inhibited starch as an ingredient in a food product, and a food product containing said inhibited starch.

The BHB composition is formulated to provide a biologically balanced set of cationic electrolytes, and is formulated to avoid detrimental health effects associated with imbalanced electrolyte ratios. A ketogenic composition includes beta-hydroxybutyric acid and a plurality of BHB salts selected from sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. The BHB composition may include transition metal cations (e.g., zinc or iron), one or more BHB-amino acid salts, a short-, medium-, or long chain fatty acid source, vitamin D3, flavorant, or other excipient.
