Foldable Hinged Trellis Device and Fabrication Method
A foldable trellis device in accordance with the present invention includes a predetermined trellis configuration having first and second symmetrical portions with substantially similar dimensions and design features. The foldable trellis device further includes pivoting connecting elements to pivotally connect the two portions to allow the two portions to close such that front surfaces of respective first and second portions become engaged, or to allow the first and second portions to manually positioned to vertically resist gusting winds. To increase the stability of the foldable trellis device when wind gusts are relatively strong and from varying directions, a stabilizing member is pivotally connected to the first and second portions to form a wind resistant configuration when taking a top elevation view of the foldable trellis device.
JOINTS FOR COMPOSITE LAMINATED PANELS AND BEAMS
A joint for use with a composite laminated component is disclosed herein. The joint includes a component including a partial U-shaped trapezoidal cavity and a triangular component. The partial trapezoidal component includes a base extending in a first direction, a first side extending away from the base at a first angle from the first direction, a second side extending away from the base at a second angle from the first direction and toward the first side, and an opening defined by the first side and the second side. The triangular component is coupled to the base and extending orthogonally away from the base in a second direction and toward the opening.
Ultrasonic welding of fabrics for sleep apnea treatment
A respiratory apparatus may employ ultrasonic welds. The ultrasonic welding may be used to join a variety of headgear, mask and accessory components. This process may enhance comfort, fit and/or performance of the joined components and/or overall mask assembly. A component may be a single layer component such as a textile or fabric, or a composite or multiple layer component such as fabric and foam composites, or outer fabric layers and inner spacer fabrics. Further, a component may be a strap, some other headgear component, a mask component, an accessory component or the like.
