Apparatus and method for mechanically opening a connection site
Method and apparatus are disclosed for mechanically opening a heat-bonded connection site between two hollow, flexible, thermoplastic segments of a medical fluid flow path, the heat-bonded connection site having an axis. The connection site is compressed between two facing surfaces, and the facing surfaces are relatively moved to rotate the connection site about the connection site axis and to apply force to the connection site substantially perpendicular to the connection site axis.
Pressing tool, system and method for producing a tight connection of a press connector to a workpiece
The invention relates to a system for producing a sealed connection of a press connector to a workpiece, in particular to a pipe, preferably to a plastic pipe, with a pressing tool for pressing a press connector and with a pressure tool for driving the pressing tool. The pressure tool is arranged to output a hydraulic pressure at a pressure generation point The pressing tool is arranged to receive a hydraulic pressure at a pressing location and to press a press connector accordingly. The pressure tool and the pressing tool are connected via a hydraulic pressure transmission connection, the pressure generation location and the pressing location being remote from each other. A corresponding method for producing a tight connection of a press connector to a workpiece, in particular to a pipe made of a flexible material, preferably a plastic pipe, as well as a press force translator and a press tool are also described.
APPARATUS FOR WELDING
A irradiation welding apparatus including an irradiation welding generator having at least one irradiation welding head configured to apply an irradiation treatment to end contact surfaces of a first profile and a second profile to join the first profile and the second profile, where the at least one irradiation welding head forms a planar cross-sectional shape in an x-y directional plane relative to the irradiation welding generator.
Connection structure of resin tube and resin joint and connection method thereof
A resin joint 20 includes an outer cylinder 21 molded by a resin material capable of transmitting laser light and an inner cylinder 22 disposed facing the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21. An annular protrusion 22b that protrudes in the radial direction and extends in the circumferential direction is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21 or the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 22. The axial end of the resin tube 10 is inserted into an annular space 30 and is deformed in the radial direction following the annular protrusion 22b, and a region deformed in the radial direction has a surface that is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21. The inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21 and the outer peripheral surface of the resin tube 10 are laser-welded.
Method of joining pipes and apparatus for facilitating the same
An apparatus and method for joining pipes includes a plate for melting mating surfaces of the pipes to be joined. Additionally, the apparatus utilizes a vacuum in order to push the first and second pipes together in lieu of hand or mechanical pressure which may be inconsistent. Additionally, the vacuum allows the pipes to be joined to settle on each other in order to create a pressure about a periphery of the end of the pipe being joined to the other pipe. The consistent pressure creates a very strong joint between the first and second pipes.
WELDING METHOD USING FIBER LASER FOR COMPONENTS OF A MEDICAL DEVICE
A system includes a first tubular member comprising a first polymer and a second tubular member comprising a second polymer. The first tubular member defines a lumen configured to receive at least a portion of the second tubular member therein to define a joint region. The system further includes a compression sleeve configured to receive at least a portion of the first tubular member at the joint region and an energy source comprising a fiber laser configured to deliver energy to the joint region to thermally weld the first tubular member to the second tubular member. In some examples, the energy includes a wavelength of radiation transmittable through the compression sleeve and the first tubular member, and absorbable by the first tubular member and the second tubular member.
Snap fitting for plumbing
A snap fitting for use in plumbing is provided. The snap fitting includes a main body formed of plastic and shaped to extend partially around a cylindrical pipe to snap over the pipe and an inset for extending from an interior side of the main body into a hole in the cylindrical pipe.
Tube joining device
A tube joining device includes a delivery with a first pusher member providing forward movement and backward movement along a delivery direction and delivering a wafer to a first position between a take-out position and a stand-by position, and with a second pusher member providing forward movement and backward movement along the delivery direction in combination with the first pusher member, and the wafer from the first position to the stand-by position.
Modular carriage assembly for the fusion of polyolefin pipes
Modular carriage for varying spacing between ends of polymer pipe during fusion. The modular carriage includes a fixed jaw; an inner movable jaw; an outer moveable jaw and a plurality of guide rods. The fixed jaw being adapted for tool free engagement with the terminal ends of the plurality of guide rods. A carriage cylinder is associated with at least two of the guide rods and mounted for reciprocal travel along the length of its associated guide rod. The movable jaws being adapted for tool free engagement with at least two carriage cylinders for reciprocal travel therewith. A combined hydraulic cylinder/guide rod includes a guide rod with an integral guide rod piston, a cylindrical tube, and a guide rod gland on each end of the cylinder tube.
FLANGE SEAL
Flange connection for connecting two pipeline ends made of plastics material and method for assembly, containing two mutually opposing pipe ends (2) made of plastics material, wherein the pipe ends each have a prewelding neck, two loose type flanges, wherein a loose type flange is arranged at each pipe end, wherein the loose type flanges have holes for mutual clamping, clamping means, wherein the clamping means are arranged in the holes and serve to mutually pull together the loose type flanges and the pipeline ends, and a sealing element, wherein the sealing element comprises a conductive plastics material and exclusively one material.
