MULTI PART PLASTIC ASSEMBLY THAT SIMPLIFIES THE APPLICATION OF PRIMER SOLVENTS AND PLASTIC BONDING CEMENTS AND/OR AGENTS TO PLASTIC AND/OR PVC PIPING
The present invention is a system and methods that facilitates the application of PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue to the inner surfaces of PVC unions and the outer surface of PVC pipes. The invention consists of a PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue reservoir, a method of pressurizing the reservoir, and forcing the PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue through a series of tubes and holes in the apparatus and into a foam applicator which transfers the PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue onto the inner surface or onto the outer surface of a PVC union or PVC pipe to a predetermined depth thus reducing waste of the PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue. The foam application housing contains a foam applicator specifically for applying PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue to either the inner surface of a PCV union or to the outer surface of a PVC pipe giving a uniform application of PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue.
APPARATUS FOR STERILIZED WELDING
Systems and methods are disclosed that include generating a plasma treatment and applying the plasma treatment to end contact surfaces of a first profile and a second profile in a sterile environment, manipulating at least one of the first profile and the second profile to force contact between the end contact surface of the first profile and the end contact surface of the second profile to permanently connect, join, or weld the end contact surfaces of the first profile and the second profile together, thereby forming a sterile connection between the first profile and a second profile.
INDUCTION CONNECTION SLEEVE
An induction connection sleeve for fusion joining of plastic pipes includes a sleeve body having a first and a second receiving portion for receiving first and second connection portions of the plastic pipes to be connected, a first induction heating element and a second induction heating element. The sleeve body includes an inner part, which inner part forms the two receiving portions and on which the induction heating elements are accommodated in such a way that the recesses of the induction heating elements are penetrated by the inner part and are flush at their outer lateral surfaces with the inner part in the area of the induction heating elements. The sleeve body further includes an outer part which is connected to the inner part in a bonded manner and surrounds the outer lateral surfaces of the induction heating elements.
Cured in place liner termination
A rehabilitated pipe system and a method for rehabilitating a pipe system. A lines a host pipe and a coupling member configured for being operatively coupled to a mechanical coupler is positioned adjacent the host pipe so that a connecting section of the liner extends into the coupling member. The connecting section of the liner is adhesively bonded to the coupling member, and the mechanical coupler is installed to fluidly couple the liner to another fluid conducting structure. The connecting section of the liner can be formed in a portion of the host pipe that is removed after lining. The coupling member can be flanged or include a lateral coupling tube. The mechanical coupler can, e.g., be a ductile iron coupler or a bolt.
Materials and method for joining fiber reinforced pipeline
A method of joining fiberglass-reinforced composite pipes includes joining an inner tube of each pipe by fusion to form a fused bond, joining fiber reinforced polymer tubes of each pipe by depositing a silica glass particle epoxy directly on the fused bond and on bonded edges of the fiber reinforced polymer tubes as a composition to cover tube edges and the fused inner tube bond, and curing the composition.
LASER WELDED BODY
Provided is a laser welded body which can be integrated through a laser-welding step without undergoing complicated steps even through use of the same or difference resin members each other, which has excellent welding strength between the resin members, which maintains the characteristics of a resin contained in the resin member and which exhibits the high welding strength by improving meltability of the resin members yet under a laser-welding condition of a medium and high scan speed.
A laser welded body comprises a resin member(s) which contains a thermoplastic resin and nigrosine sulfate having a sulfate ion concentration of 0.3 to 5.0% by mass and has an absorbance a of 0.09 to 0.9, an adjoined part where the resin member(s) is overlapped and/or butted, and at least a part of the adjoined part is laser-welded.
Process for creating a polymer filament suitable for use in three-dimensional printing
A thermoplastic filament comprising multiple polymers of differing flow temperatures in a regular geometric arrangement, and a method for producing such a filament, are described. Because of the difference in flow temperatures, there exists a temperature range at which one polymer is mechanically stable while the other is flowable. This property is extremely useful for creating thermoplastic monofilament feedstock for three-dimensionally printed parts, wherein the mechanically stable polymer enables geometric stability while the flowable polymer can fill gaps and provide strong bonding and homogenization between deposited material lines and layers. These multimaterial filaments can be produced via thermal drawing from a thermoplastic preform, which itself can be three-dimensionally printed. Furthermore, the preform can be printed with precisely controlled and complex geometries, enabling the creation of monofilament and fiber with unique decorative or functional properties.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MECHANICALLY OPENING A CONNECTION SITE
Method and apparatus are disclosed for mechanically opening a heat-bonded connection site between two hollow, flexible, thermoplastic segments of a medical fluid flow path, the heat-bonded connection site having an axis. The connection site is compressed between two facing surfaces, and the facing surfaces are relatively moved to rotate the connection site about the connection site axis and to apply force to the connection site substantially perpendicular to the connection site axis.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A BUTT-WELDED JOINT
The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing a butt-welded joint between two pipe segments (38, 39) of a pipe (27, 28) made of a weldable plastic material, each pipe segment being held by a gripping means (14, 15), pipe end cross-sections of the pipe segments (38, 39) being machined with the aid of a tool means (11) for forming welding contact surfaces (40, 41), said tool means (11) being disposed in a stationary manner in a separating plane (37) for machining the welding contact surfaces (40, 41) and a separating cut for forming the pipe segments (38, 39) being realised by the gripping means (14, 15) moving the pipe (27, 28) relative to the tool means (11) in the separating plane (37), said separating cut simultaneously serving to form the welding contact surfaces (40, 41).
