REFLECTION INNER RING
A device for end-side welding of plastic profiles, preferably pipes, containing tensioning devices for retaining the plastic profiles in a coaxial position in relation to one another, a heating plate for generating heat rays for contact-free heating up of the plastic profile ends and a reflection outer ring for reflection of the heat radiation onto the plastic profile outer side, wherein a reflection inner ring is arranged on the heating plate, wherein the reflection inner ring reflects the heat rays of the heating plate onto the plastic profile inner side.
CONNECTING SHAFT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CONNECTING SHAFT
A connecting shaft including a first shaft made of metal, a second shaft made of resin, and a collar made of metal including a first fitting portion fitting on an outer peripheral surface of the first shaft and a second fitting portion fitting on an outer peripheral surface of the second shaft. A gap between the outer peripheral surface of the second shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the second fitting portion is filled with an adhesive agent, and the adhesive agent is applied to an outer peripheral surface of the collar to cover an end face of the second fitting portion in an axial direction.
DRIVE SHAFT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A drive shaft includes a first shaft member made of metal, a tubular member made of CFRP, and a first exterior sleeve. The first shaft member is capable of being attached on one end side thereof to a first constant velocity joint, and has a first serrated part on which serrations are formed on another end side thereof. The tubular member is formed with a first fitting part fitted externally over the first serrated part. The first exterior sleeve covers the first fitting part by being disposed to extend over outer circumferential surfaces of the first shaft member and the tubular member. A film provided with a bonding assistance region and an adhesive are interposed between the outer circumferential surface of the tubular member and the inner circumferential surface of the first exterior sleeve.
Pipe-liner eversion system and method
A pipe-liner system for use when lining a pipe interior features a pipe having a pipe opening end and a pipe interior wall. The system features a flexible, substantially-impermeable, elongate extender-tube and an evertable, flexible, elongate, tubular pipe-liner. The system features a substantially leak-proof pressure retaining closure-sleeve located on a pipe-liner second end. An extender-tube second end is attached to a pipe-liner first end via a substantially leak-proof connection there between. The combined extender-tube and the pipe-liner form a single continuous evertable tube, hereinafter referred to as an extended liner having the pressure retaining closure-sleeve enclosing an extended liner distal end. A length of the extender-tube and a length of the pipe-liner are each chosen so that the liner is caused to be accurately positioned within the pipe upon eversion.
Monitoring of lined pipeline
An integrity monitoring system for a lined pipeline is provided for monitoring the integrity of a polymer liner in a host pipe. Methods and apparatus are described by which a lined pipeline is provided with such an integrity monitoring system. Sensor cable is able to bridge a joint between sections at lined pipe, for example by routing the sensor cable across the joint via a channel in an electrofusion fitting or by connecting successive lengths of sensor cable via pass-throughs in an electrofusion fitting. Advantageously, the sensor cable is disposed within a continuous annulus between linings and host pipes, and the continuous annulus is maintained across pipe joints using electrofusion fittings.
SOCKET FUSION JIG
A socket fusion jig includes a pipe saddle and coupling saddle spaced apart. Rotation of a handle causes the pipe saddle and coupling saddle to move laterally relative to one another so that the pipe held in the pipe saddle may be fused to the coupling held in the coupling saddle.
Electrofusion fittings and methods
An electrofusion fiting (20) comprises a fitting body (24) and an electrofusion collar (26). The fitting body (24) has an exterior surface (30), an interior surface (32), and a terminal portion (44) extending to a rim (34). The collar (26) has: an inner wall (42) having a heating element (60); a segmented outer wall (40) spaced radially apart from the inner wall; and a linking portion (46) linking the outer wall and inner wall. The fitting body terminal portion is between the inner wall and the outer wall. The collar and fitting body have interfitting features (150, 152) axially retaining the collar against extraction from the fitting body while permitting relative rotation of the collar and the fitting body.
PIPE-LINER EVERSION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A pipe-liner system for lining a pipe and methods of use thereof. A continuous, eversible extended liner is formed from a pipe-liner attached to an extender-tube via a substantially leak-proof connection there between. Lengths of the extender-tube and the pipe-liner are each chosen so that the pipe-liner is caused to be accurately positioned within the pipe upon everting the extended liner into the pipe by a pressurized fluid. The pipe-liner is held against an interior surface of the pipe being lined by inserting an inflatable bladder into the extended liner and filling the bladder with pressurized fluid. When a resin in the pipe-liner has hardened, the bladder is removed and the extender-tube is detached from the pipe-liner.
Contactless examination of a butt weld
A device for the contactless examination of a butt weld of plastic pipes and fittings is provided. The device includes a carrier device, an illumination unit, and at least one sensor for monitoring the pipe ends or fitting ends to be welded and the weld seam, wherein the sensor is an electronic light-sensitive sensor.
METHOD FOR FORMING INLINE TRIPLE WALL COUPLING CONNECTOR
A pipe coupling for triple wall corrugated plastic pipe includes a triple wall corrugated bellmouth connector that is of a unitary construction with one end of the corrugated plastic pipe. This bellmouth connector is of higher strength and in cooperation with the two wall corrugated spigot provides a high strength coupling. This coupling includes the bellmouth connector and spigot that are made inline with the corrugated pipe. A method for the manufacture of the pipe includes controlling of an air pressure on the outside of a formed two wall corrugated pipe as an exterior third wall is secured thereto.
