Provided is a resin profile joining method of joining a pair of resin profiles. The method includes: holding one resin profile and another resin profile of the pair of resin profiles with a first clamp and a second clamp, respectively, such that end surfaces of the pair of resin profiles are faced each other; heating the end surfaces of the pair of resin profiles in no contact with the end surfaces of the pair of resin profiles to melt the pair of resin profiles; making a guide in contact with surfaces of the pair of resin profiles so as to cover between the end surfaces of the pair of resin profiles after the heating; and crimping the end surfaces of the pair of resin profiles to each other while keeping the guide in contact with the surfaces of the pair of resin profiles.

Methods Of Manufacturing A Panel Having A Composite Stringer For A Vehicle
20190329856 · 2019-10-31 ·

Methods of manufacturing a panel for a vehicle that includes forming a stringer from separate charges. The method can include positioning a forming sheet between the charges that are aligned in an overlapping arrangement. The charges can be held together and the forming sheet can be used to separate the ends of the charges to form flanges that extend outward from a blade. While still secured together, the formed stringer can be moved to a panel and positioned with the flanges contacting against the panel. Filler material can be positioned in an opening formed between the ends of the flanges.

Wind turbine blade and a method of assembling a wind turbine blade and a spar cap connection piece

A wind turbine blade comprising first and second adjacent blade sections arranged end to end along the length of the blade. Each section comprises an aerodynamic fairing and a spar. Each spar comprises a shear web extending across the fairing and a pair of spar caps, one at either end of the shear web. Each spar cap in the first section has a different cross-sectional shape and/or material from the respective spar cap in the second section and wherein the spar cap in the first section is joined to the respective spar cap in the second section via a connection piece. Each connection piece is a pre-cured component extending along the length of the blade from a first inclined end configured to connect to a first complimentary inclined end of a spar cap of the first blade section and a second inclined end.

An apparatus for detecting a weather strip seam includes a sensing roller connected to one surface of a weather strip and rotating along with movement of the weather strip, a load cell unit sensing a signal corresponding to force transmitted to the sensing roller in the weather strip, and a controller that senses a seam formed in the weather strip using the signal sensed by the load cell unit.

Method of forming large diameter thermoplastic seal

A structure for and method of producing large diameter seal rings. Preferred embodiments of the present invention make use of a co-extruded support layer of a polymer showing better weld quality and strength. The use of a co-extruded support polymer bonded to the functional polymer can be used to improve the strength of the entire weld, including the weld of functional polymer layer.

TRANSITION FOR COMPOSITE LAMINATES FOR A MODULAR BLADE

Transition of composite laminates for a modular blade. The real load distribution per element F.sub.2 is flattener, overlapping with the theoretical load distribution per element F.sub.2theor by a non-homogeneous hybrid laminate across the width of the same, with an area at the ends having a very high modulus of elasticity E.sub.2ext and an area in the centre having a lower modulus of elasticity E.sub.2int. Furthermore, the transition has a variable length with respect to the width of the cap, to the width of the joint and to the angle of optimal design for transferring the lead ?, all according to the formula L.sub.transition=0.5(W.sub.joint?W.sub.cap)tan.sup.?1(?).
