Device for Attaching Mouthpiece to Innerliner of Aircraft Water Tank
A device for attaching a mouthpiece to an innerliner of an aircraft water tank is provided. A cylinder portion of an innerliner is thermally deformed to conform to an inner circumferential portion of a cylinder-like portion, and an inner circumferential portion of a dome portion of the innerliner is attached to a skirt portion by an adhesive. A lower mold includes two sections inserted inside the innerliner from the inner side of a mouthpiece in a folded state. The two sections are opened inside the innerliner and a holding member holds the two sections in an open state. The lower mold can be disposed in the innerliner sealed from the inner side of the mouthpiece, and abutment of an outer abutting surface of an upper mold against a first annular surface and abutment of an inner abutting surface of the lower mold against a second annular surface can be performed.
Injection molded polymeric biodegradable container
A biodegradable container including a unitary polymeric body element having a top portion and a cylindrical body portion. The top portion has a cylindrical neck wherein the cylindrical neck defines an inner surface and an outer surface. The container further includes a polymeric bottom element welded to the cylindrical body portion of the unitary polymeric body element. A polymeric cap defines an internal rim configured to be received by the inner surface of the cylindrical neck. The polymeric cap includes an external cover having an interior surface which may be tapered so that the outer surface of the cylindrical neck and the interior surface of the external cover form an inner seal. The interior surface of the external cover may also form an outer seal with the outer surface of the cylindrical neck when the polymeric cap is in a closed position.
Method of making a retort container
A method is described for making a retort container having one or two metal ends. A heat-sealable material is present on one or both of the container side wall and the/each metal end. The/each metal end is seamed onto the container body, and the resulting container assembly is conveyed on a conveyor adjacent to an induction sealing head and then adjacent to a cooling device. A pressure belt engages the upper end of the container assembly to keep the metal end from coming off the container body during the induction heating and cooling processes.
SOFT CONTAINER, SOFT CONTAINER MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, AND SOFT CONTAINER MANUFACTURING METHOD
Provided is a soft container in which a tip portion of a body portion can be blocked with one member. The tip portion of a flexible body portion 10 of a soft container 1 is blocked by a tip sheet member 20. The tip sheet member 20 integrally has a circumferential side portion 21, a shoulder portion 22, and a top portion 23. The tip sheet member 20 is constituted by a self-supporting film molded body 28 having a uniform thickness. The tubular circumferential side portion 21 and the body portion 10 are joined to each other. The shoulder portion 22 is reduced in diameter in a tapered shape from the circumferential side portion 21 toward the tip side. The top portion 23 blocks the tip portion of the shoulder portion 22.

Composite Vehicle Driveshaft With Welded Joint System
A composite vehicle driveshaft is provided with a composite tube and a welded joint system(s) at one or both ends of the composite tube for connecting the composite vehicle driveshaft to driveline components. Each welded joint system may include a sleeve that is bonded to an end of the composite tube and a joint assembly that is welded to the sleeve.
Method of fusion welding large plastic parts
A large tubular plastic tank is formed by fusion welding together half-shell parts at lengthwise flange joints to form a tubular body. Then, end caps are fusion welded onto the outermost ends of the tubular body and an assembly of two or more bodies. Electric or electromagnetic energy is used to melt in situ the fusion weld elements which are captured between the joining surfaces of the parts. A fusion weld element is secured beforehand to linear a joining surface of at least one of two mated tank parts. The weld element exits the joint between two lengthwise-mated parts at the location of mating tabs extending from the mated tank parts; the tabs are subsequently cut away. A circumferential flange joint is made by securing a fusion weld element to at least one joining surface of the mated tank parts, where the ends of the element run through holes in the faying surface of the flange.
