Device and method for sealing overlapping packaging parts
A device and method for the fluid-tight sealing of two partially overlapping packaging components, one being a tubular base member formed from a blank of composite cardboard/plastics material, and an additional packaging component forming the upper packaging portion or packaging base, having at least one mandrel and one die, the mandrel having at least two expansion elements which are moved from the operating position thereof towards each other into a rest position, the expansion elements having sealing jaws which, in the operating position thereof, form a closed circumferential outer contour, which corresponds to an inner contour formed by an opening in the die, there remaining between the inner contour and outer contour a narrow annular gap in order to apply a pressing force from the inner side to the overlap region of the packaging components.
Heating unit for heating package sleeves and apparatus comprising such a heating unit
A heating unit is described and illustrated including at least two heating devices for at least partially heating with hot air end areas of package sleeves to be sealed, wherein the heating unit has an air supply device for supplying air to be heated to the heating devices, wherein the heating devices each have a heating element for producing hot air and a nozzle unit for blowing hot air produced in the heating device against the end area of the package sleeve. In order to be able to increase the leak tightness of the sealed end areas of the package sleeves without having to accept an excessive outlay and effort in terms of the equipment and/or in terms of the method for this, it has been proposed that the heating devices are each separately connected to the air supply device by means of at least one holder and are each separately held on the air supply device by means of the at least one holder.
Systems and Methods to Precisely Control Output Pressure in Buffered Sprayers (DuO1)
In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, various novel dispensing devices can be provided. Such devices can involve a range of sprayer heads and sprayer/foamer systems incorporating such heads. Novel sprayer/foamer heads can include buffers of various types. By using a buffer, a user need not continually be pumping the device in order for the device to be spraying or foaming. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, such a buffer can be spring loaded, spring loaded combination, elastomeric or gas. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the buffer can be in line or adjacent to a piston chamber. If adjacent, it can be connected to the piston chamber with a one way valve, to provide for spray after a downstroke of the piston has been completed, or without, to allow spraying to cease once a user releases the trigger or other actuator. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, such novel sprayers and foamers can be mounted upside down, in various “Flairomop” devices, used to clean floors or the like. When using a buffer, a piston chamber can be designed to deliver greater amount of liquid per unit time than can be possibly dispensed through the nozzle or nozzles. The fraction of liquid that cannot be sent through the nozzle(s), due to their inherent restriction, can thus be sent to the buffer for dispensing after the piston downstroke has been completed. A volume of the piston chamber, a volume of the buffer, a pressure response of the buffer, the throughput of the nozzle, and the minimum opening pressure of the outlet valve can be arranged to restrict the outlet pressures of liquid droplets exiting the nozzle within a defined range.
Packaging material and method for providing a packaging material
A packaging material having a core layer and inside and outside laminate portions is provided. The packaging material comprises a first area to form a first package, and a second area to form a second and adjacent package. The first area and the second area have a transversal sealing area between them, and the core layer is provided with at least one weakening portion at the transversal sealing area.
Apparatus and method for vacuumizing and sealing a package
An apparatus for vacuumizing and sealing a package includes a plurality of platens and vacuum chambers, each chamber adapted to mate with a dedicated one of the platens; a conveying system for conveying the platens and chambers along a generally angular path having a single axis of rotation; an automated loading assembly having a linear component and configured to load a package onto each of the platens; an automated unloading assembly having a linear portion and configured to unload a vacuumized, sealed package from each loaded platen onto an outfeed conveyor; and a vacuumizing/sealing system configured to cause relative movement of each chamber/platen pair, along a portion of the angular path, to form therebetween an air-tight enclosure accommodating the package and effect vacuumization and sealing of the package.
Ultrasonic sealing device
An ultrasonic sealing device including a sonotrode for sealing a packaging material, including a piezoelectric transducer to generate ultrasonic acoustic vibrations for the sealing, a housing, a power circuit connected to the piezoelectric transducer. The power circuit is enclosed in the housing, and an absorbent arranged in the housing to absorb moisture in an atmosphere therein to lower humidity. A method of controlling humidity in an ultrasonic sealing device is also described.
Device and forming method of device
A device comprises a first seal member, a second seal member, a first circuit member, a second circuit member and one or more compressive members. The first seal member has a first outer portion having a first seal portion, and a first inner portion located inward of the first outer portion. The second seal member has a second outer portion having a second seal portion, and a second inner portion located inward of the second outer portion. The first seal portion and the second seal portion are bonded together. The first circuit member and the second circuit member are shut in a closed space which is enclosed by the first inner portion and the second inner portion. One of the compressive members is located between the first seal member and the first circuit member or located between the second seal member and the second circuit member.
PRODUCT PACKAGING WITH HEAT SEALABLE BARRIER MATERIAL
A package that is suitable for packaging an article for collecting or administering a pharmaceutical active substance is disclosed. The package includes a first packaging component that includes a product-contacting sealant layer that includes a first ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer. The package includes a second packaging component that includes a product-contacting sealant layer that includes a second ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer. The ethylene content of the second ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer is equal to or less than about 38 percent and the ethylene content of the first ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer is greater than the ethylene content of the second ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer.
AN ULTRASONIC SEALING DEVICE
An ultrasonic sealing device including a sonotrode for sealing a packaging material, including a piezoelectric transducer to generate ultrasonic acoustic vibrations for the sealing, a housing, a power circuit connected to the piezoelectric transducer. The power circuit is enclosed in the housing, and an absorbent arranged in the housing to absorb moisture in an atmosphere therein to lower humidity. A method of controlling humidity in an ultrasonic sealing device is also described.
Plastic container with mounting part
A method for producing a plastic container, and a plastic container. The method includes heating a container wall of the plastic container at least in a fastening region thereof, and then producing a form-fit connection between the container wall and at least one insert having a fastening surface with a plurality of retaining geometries which protrude from the fastening surface. The form-fit connection is produced by pressing the fastening surface of the insert part against the heated fastening region of the container wall such that the retaining geometries penetrate into the container wall without penetrating through the container wall, free ends of the retaining geometries come to lie inside the container wall, and the plastic of the container wall is arranged between the retaining geometries.
