RESIN BOARD STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME
A resin board structure includes a first member including a first metal film and one thermoplastic resin layer or a stack which includes two or more thermoplastic resin layers, and a second member including a second metal film. The first and second metal films are bonded together, and at least a portion the first metal film and at least a portion of the second metal film overlap each other. The first and second metal films are metallurgically bonded at an interface between the first metal film and the second metal film. The first member includes a first junction resin covering portion defined by a portion of a thermoplastic resin layer and overlapping a portion at which the first metal film and the second metal film overlap each other, and the first junction resin covering portion includes an uneven surface to reduce or prevent slippage due to ultrasonic vibration.
Apparatuses and methods for bonding substrates
An apparatus includes a drum that rotates about an axis and rotating an anvil roll that rotates about an axis of rotation. The drum includes a fluid nozzle and a press member, the press member having an outer surface. The anvil roll includes a compliant outer circumferential surface. First and second substrates are advanced in a machine direction onto the drum. The fluid nozzle moves radially outward and a jet of heated fluid may be directed onto the substrates. The fluid nozzle retracts radially inward and the press member may be shifted radially outward. The substrates may be compressed between the press member and the anvil roll such that the press member deforms the compliant outer circumferential surface of the anvil roll.

A conductive fastener system for connecting a composite structure to a support structure includes a composite structure hole that extends through the composite structure and shares a common axis with a support structure hole that extends at least partially through the support structure. A fastener comprising a shank having an outer surface passes through the composite structure hole and at least partially through the support structure hole and provides an annular space between the outer surface of the shank and the inner surface of the composite structure hole. The annular space is filled with a conductive paste that comprises conductive particles suspended in a bonding agent.

Method for producing thermoplastic foam panels by means of at least two heating elements offset in parallel with each other
The present invention relates to a process for the production of at least two-layer thermoplastic foam sheets via thermal welding of at least two thinner thermoplastic foam sheets. In the process of the invention, at least two heating elements are conducted on mutually offset planes between the surfaces to be welded of the thinner thermoplastic foam sheets, and the foam sheets here do not touch the heating elements. The number of layers of the thermoplastic foam sheet is per se a result of the number of thinner thermoplastic foam sheets that are thermally welded to one another. If by way of example three thinner thermoplastic foam sheets are thermally welded to one another, a three-layer thermoplastic foam sheet is per se obtained, and if there are four thinner thermoplastic foam sheets the result is accordingly per se a four-layer thermoplastic foam sheet.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL CONTAINING COMPOSITE AND METAL CONTAINING COMPOSITE FORMED BY ADHESION
An adhesive (B) of solvent containing adhesive as a suspension of low viscosity is prepared by adding a solvent MIBK to a one-part epoxy adhesive of a dicyandiamide-curable type (A). Metal shaped articles (M1 to M5) as adherends are prepared each of which, through various surface treatment, has specific surface configuration of roughened face and/or ultrafine irregularities and the surface is entirely covered with a thin layer of ceramics such as a metal oxide or metal phosphate. The specified face of each metal shaped article (M1 to M5) is painted with the solvent containing adhesive (B). The faces painted with the adhesive of two metal shaped articles (M1 to M5) are caused to abut each other, the articles are heated to cure the one-epoxy adhesive to accomplish adhesion. With one of the adherends replaced by a CFRP shaped article (P2), a composite of a metal and CFRP can be formed.

(2) a time for the heat treatment ranges from one second to 10 minutes.

The present invention provides a method for firmly and inexpensively bonding at low temperature a polymer film to another polymer film or to a glass substrate without the use of an organic adhesive. A method for bonding a polymer film includes a step (S1) for forming a first inorganic material layer on part or all of a first polymer film; a step (S3) for forming a second inorganic material layer on part or all of a second polymer film; a step (S2) for surface-activating the surface of the first inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; a step (S4) for surface-activating the surface of the second inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; and a step (S5) for abutting the surface-activated surface of the first inorganic material layer against the surface-activated surface of the second inorganic material layer and bonding the first polymer film and second polymer film together.

A reinforcement and/or lining method is provided, wherein a thermoplastic reinforcement and/or lining element is subject to mechanical energy impact and mechanical pressure by a tool so that reinforcement and/or lining material of the reinforcement and/or lining element is liquefied and pressed into porous material to reinforce the porous material. In at least one axial depth, the reinforcement and/or lining element is segmented as a function of the circumferential angle so that at this axial depth the circumferential wall of the initial opening in first regions is in contact with the reinforcement and/or lining element and in second regions is not in contact with the reinforcement and/or lining element.
