METHOD FOR MAKING LIGHT-BLOCKING DECORATIVE ARTICLES
Laminated light-blocking decorative articles are prepared by applying an aqueous foamed opacifying composition to a decorative fabric, drying, laminating a non-woven fabric to the resulting dry foamed opacifying layer, and densifying that layer to have a thickness that is at least 20% less than before densifying. This operation can be carried out so that non-woven fabric, decorative fabric, and aqueous foamed opacifying composition are supplied in a single-pass, in-line operation to make any quantity of laminated light-blocking decorative article. The applied aqueous foamed opacifying composition has 35%-70% solids and a foam density of 0.1-0.5 g/cm.sup.3. It is composed of (a) porous particles, (b) a binder material, (c) two or more additives comprising at least one foaming surfactant and at least one foam stabilizer, (d) an aqueous medium, and (e) at least 0.0001 weight % of an opacifying colorant that absorbs electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of 380-800 nm.
VEHICLE LAMP
A vehicle lamp includes a lamp housing having an inner space and a welding surface, and a cover that covers the inner space and is joined to the lamp housing by laser welding to be disposed adjacent to another vehicle lamp. The cover includes a design surface portion and a welding leg. An end portion of the outer peripheral portion of the design surface portion on another vehicle lamp side is provided as an adjacent side end portion. The welding leg includes a facing surface portion that protrudes from the adjacent side end portion and faces the other vehicle lamp. The facing surface portion is provided at a position extending from an upper end portion to a lower end portion of the adjacent side end portion.
OUTER LENS FOR LIGHTING FIXTURES FOR VEHICLES, LIGHTING FIXTURE FOR VEHICLES PROVIDED WITH SAID OUTER LENS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID LIGHTING FIXTURE FOR VEHICLES
An outer lens for a lighting fixture for a vehicle includes a first region formed of a first material and a second region formed of a second material adjacent to the first region. The first material transmits light in a visible light range. The second material has a first wavelength range with transmittance equal to or less than a first transmittance. A second wavelength range has a transmittance equal to or more than a second light transmittance. A third wavelength range is between the first wavelength range and the second wavelength range. The first wavelength range includes a visible light at an S wavelength or a shorter wavelength. The second wavelength range includes a wavelength range from an M wavelength to an L wavelength. The third wavelength range increases from the S wavelength to the M wavelength. The first wavelength range includes the emission wavelength.

A vehicle lamp includes a lamp housing having an inner space and a welding surface, and a cover disposed adjacent to another vehicle lamp, and configured to cover the inner space and join to the lamp housing by laser welding. The cover includes a design surface in which an outer surface of an outer peripheral portion is formed as a curved surface and a welding leg that protrudes from a portion near the outer peripheral portion in the design surface. An annular portion on an inner peripheral side of the curved surface on an outer surface of the design surface is formed as a laser light incident surface. The curved surface is positioned on an outer peripheral side from an intersection point of a virtual line and the outer surface of the design.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING A MICROFLUIDIC ROTOR DEVICE
Described herein are various embodiments directed to rotor devices, methods, and systems. Embodiments of rotors disclosed herein may be used to characterize one or more analytes of a fluid. A method may include bonding a first layer and a second layer using two-shot injection molding. The first layer coupled to the second layer may collectively define a set of wells. The first layer may be substantially transparent. The second layer may define a channel. The second layer may be substantially absorbent to infrared radiation. A third layer may be bonded to the second layer using infrared radiation. The third layer may define an opening configured to receive a fluid. The third layer may be substantially transparent. The channel may establish a fluid communication path between the opening and the set of wells.

An assembly comprises a housing, a bezel and a lens, or a housing heat sink, a housing rim, a bezel and a lens, wherein the housing or the housing heat sink comprises a first surface and the bezel or the housing rim comprises a second surface, a portion of a first surface of the housing or housing heat sink is molded to a portion of the second surface forming an interface surface, the interface surface having an interface angle that does not deviate more than 90 degrees, measured from a central axis perpendicular to the bezel and the housing around which the bezel and the housing are molded, for all interface angles about the central axis.
HEAT EXCHANGER AS WELL AS METHOD FOR PRODUCING A HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger may include a first component composed of a first material and a second component composed of a second material. The first component and the second component may each have an edge zone. The first component and the second component may abut against one another in an overlapping manner at the edge zone and may be joined together. At least the edge zone of the first component may consist of a material impermeable to laser beams. The edge zone of the first component may externally overlap the edge zone of the second component and abut against the edge zone of the second component in direct contact and may be joined thereto via a fusion bond.

A method for preparing a composite body (1) comprising a support body (2) and at least one decorative element (3), preferably a gemstone (3a, 3b), the support body (2) comprising a thermoplastic material, the method being characterized by the steps of: arranging the decorative element (3) on the support body (2), heating the support body (2), pressing the decorative element (3) into the support body (2) by using a stamp (4) consisting of an elastically deformable material, the material of the stamp (4) being selected from the group of elastomers.
