Method for producing a tire carcass ply
In the method for producing a tire carcass ply for a vehicle, the ply is wound onto a drum and contains reinforcements running in planes that are radial to an axis of the drum, of which: at least one assembly member (51, 52) mounted such that it can move in relation to the drum brings the ends of the ply together and assembles them by travelling over the ply in a direction (X) parallel to the ends; and prior to assembly, a blade independent of the one or of each assembly member extends between the drum and the ends without extending between the drum and the rest of the ply.
SONOTRODE
A sonotrode includes multiple layers of a material melted to one another to form a structure. The structure provides a base that has an attachment feature that is configured to operatively secure to an ultrasonic converter. The structure includes a shaft that extends from the base to a terminal end that provides a working surface that is configured to selectively engage a workpiece. The structure has at least one shaft that includes a first shaft that extends from the base to a first terminal end that provides a first working surface that is configured to selectively engage a workpiece. The first shaft is integrally formed with the base from the multiple layers to provide an unbroken, monolithic construction.
Fastening objects to each other
A method of fastening a second object to a fiber composite part including a structure of fibers embedded in a matrix material includes: providing the fiber composite part including an attachment surface, with a portion of the structure of fibers being exposed at the attachment surface; providing the second object; placing the second object relative to the fiber composite part, with a resin in a flowable state between the attachment surface and the connector; pressing the second object and the fiber composite part against each other and causing mechanical vibration to act on the second object or the fiber composite part or both, thereby causing the resin to infiltrate the exposed structure of fibers and activating the resin to cross-link; whereby the resin, after cross-linking, secures the second object to the fiber composite part.
System and method for subjecting web to ultrasonic processing
An ultrasonic processing system adapted to subject a web running in a machine direction to ultrasonic processing includes a first mechanical element defined by one of an ultrasonic horn and an anvil and a second mechanical element defined by a remainder. The web placed on an outer peripheral surface of a rotary drum moves conforming to the drum in a machine direction. The first mechanical element is provided on the inner side of the drum and the second mechanical element is provided on the outer side of the drum. The first and second mechanical elements repeat a step of forward movement and a step of backward movement in a direction intersecting the machine direction across the web. In both steps, the first and second mechanical elements come in close contact with each other by the intermediary of the web and thereby subject the web to the ultrasonic processing.
Vacuum Cleaner Filter Bag Having a High-Strength Weld Seam, Method for Producing Said Vacuum Cleaner Filter Bag, and Ultrasonic Welding System for Producing an Ultra-Strong Weld Seam
The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner filter bag made of a thermally weldable filter material which forms the sealed internal space of the vacuum cleaner filter bag. The internal space is thereby closed at least on one side by means of a weld seam configured according to the invention, in the case of which at least two layers of the filter material are welded together. The weld seam configured according to the present invention is distinguished by a far higher tearing strength, compared with weld seams as are known from the state of the art. The invention relates in addition to a method for the production of the vacuum cleaner filter bag, to a tool for the production of the high-strength weld seam and also to an ultrasonic welding unit in which this tool is integrated.
Process For Joining Fiber Composite Materials Using Self-Piercing Rivets
A process for joining fiber composite materials using self-piercing rivets. The process includes contacting first and second panels. The second panel is a fiber composite material. The process further includes elevating a temperature of only a fastening portion of the second panel. The process also includes placing the first and second panels on a die and joining the first and second panels with one or more rivets while the fastening portion is at an elevated temperature.
COMPRESSION BELT FOR INFLATION AND SEALING DEVICES
The present disclosure is directed to a compression belt for inflation and sealing devices. The device may include an inflation assembly, a heating assembly, and a drive mechanism. The inflation assembly may direct fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a flexible web material to inflate chambers between the plies. The heating assembly may be operable to heat the first and second plies of the web material to create a longitudinal heat seal that seals the fluid in the inflated chambers. The drive mechanism may drive the web material in a downstream direction. The drive mechanism may tension the web material against the heating assembly. The drive mechanism may include a first belt including a high grip material on a surface that contacts the web material to grip the web material during heating by the heating assembly.
Bag suitable for packaging of fruit and vegetable products and means for its manufacture
A bag (100) for packaging fruit and vegetable products (2) having a casing (103) for housing the products to be packaged and at least one first band (104) and one second band (105), each arranged on the outer face of the casing so as to seal the casing, the first band (104) being joined to the casing only at its ends (104a, 104b) forming a handle (106) and the second band (105) joined along the length thereof to the associated face of the casing, forming a stable bottom (105c).
Methods and Apparatuses for Making Elastomeric Laminates
The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. Aspects of the methods for assembling elastomeric laminates may utilize elastic strands supplied from beams that may be joined with first and second substrates, and may be configured to carry out various types of operations, such as bonding and splicing operations.
Device and method for producing stretchable laminate for wearable article
There are disposed, in a width direction of an anvil roll, a plurality of first projections for producing joint portions where a pair of sheets are jointed to each other; each of the first projections extends in a circumferential direction of the anvil roll and includes a carrying groove carrying an elastic member while the elastic member has entered in the groove; and between one first projection and another first projection adjacent to each other in the width direction, at least one receiving part for receiving the pair of sheets is arranged.
