The block of each sealing jaw consists of a metallic material. A concentrator of each sealing jaw is composed of a plurality of partial pieces, wherein each partial piece consists of a material suitable for magnetic field concentration and all the partial pieces are electrically insulated from one another and with respect to the metal block. The inductor is disposed in a groove in the concentrator.

The punch is desirably a low thermal mass punch, while the heating element may be a high power (watt) density, solid state, ceramic, resistant heating element (e.g., aluminum nitride or boron nitride heaters).

Pulse Welding Method and Welding Tool for Pulse Welding for a Medical Pack Formed As a Bag
The invention relates to a welding tool and a method for pulse welding films of plastic for medical packs formed as bags. The invention generally provides for the film material that has been plastified during welding, and is consequently free-flowing, to be specifically displaced by increasing the sealing surface area. The displaced film material can for instance compensate for dimensional and form tolerances. At the same time, however, the strength of the welded seam region, which adjoins the interior space of the bag, is not reduced.
Heating device for a heating and sealing system
A protective packaging formation device is disclosed herein. The device includes an inflation assembly that directs fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a web material. The device also includes a sealing mechanism that includes an arcuate web-support surface. The web-support surface includes a heater that defines a heating zone that is operable to heat the plies to create a longitudinal heat seal that seals the first and second plies together as the web is driven over the heating zone in a downstream direction. The web-support surface also includes a cooling zone disposed downstream of the heating zone operable to allow the heated plies to cool at the longitudinal heat seal as the web is driven over the heating zone in a downstream direction, such that the cooled longitudinal heat seal retains the fluid between the plies.
HEATING AND SEALING HEAD FOR PACKAGING MACHINES OF PRODUCTS IN TRAYS
A heating and sealing head (1) for packaging machines (M.sub.1; M.sub.2; M.sub.3) of products in trays (V), comprising a fixed support group (2) provided with first actuation means (3) electrically connected to a pneumatic system (4) for delivering compressed air, and a mobile application group (5) mechanically coupled to the fixed support group (2) by means of first fixing means and comprising heating means (6) electrically connected to an electric current generator (7), preferably alternating, which activates the heating means (6) to produce heat useful for sealing a closing and packaging film to one or more trays for containing products when the trays themselves are arranged under the heating and sealing head (1) in a packaging machine (M.sub.1; M.sub.2; M.sub.3). In particular, the heating means (6) comprise an electromagnetic inductor body (8) which produces the heat due to the effect of the parasitic electric currents induced by a magnetic field generated by the electromagnetic inductor body (8) when crossed or affected by the electric current.
