A laminating apparatus for improving the uniformity of the thickness of a resulting laminate to improve the yield of products such as laminates is provided. A pressing device includes: a first press block movable back and forth; a second press block disposed in opposed relation to the first press block; a first pressing plate mounted to the inside of the first press block; and a second pressing plate mounted to the inside of the second press block. The first pressing plate and the second pressing plate are opposed to each other. A surface of the first pressing plate which is opposed to the second pressing plate has a peripheral portion formed into a tapered surface in such a manner that the distance from the second pressing plate increases in an outward direction.

Self-controlling packaging machine and method for same
A packaging machine comprising a control unit, a plurality of measuring devices and a plurality of working units for different process. The control unit is functionally connected to the working units and to the measuring devices. The measuring devices may detect actual process values at the respective working units and forwarding these values to the control unit for monitoring the respective working units. The control unit may create a specific program sequence for each of the individual working units and/or a program sequence coordinated with respect to the working units, by comparing the actual process values from the respective measuring devices with associated target process values from a memory. The individual working units may function according to this program sequence, depending on the actual process values detected at these working units, and/or the working units are coordinated with one another based on the actual process values.

A forming-material connecting device includes a cutter that cuts a forming material constituted by plural continuous fiber bundles being impregnated with a resin material and supplied in a supply direction corresponding to an extending direction of the plural continuous fiber bundles. The cutter cuts at least a portion of the plural continuous fiber bundles. The forming-material connecting device also includes a joining portion joining portions of the forming material, which are cut by the cutter at a cutting point in the forming material, on a downstream and upstream side with respect to the cutting point in the supply direction by heating to join the resin materials of the portions of the forming material, or the joining portion joins a preceding forming material's trailing end portion and a leading end portion of a following forming material by heating to join resin materials of the preceding forming material and following forming material.

A temperature control apparatus includes: a first pressure bonding unit which includes a first flow passage and a first pressure bonding surface which is to be brought into contact with an object; a temperature control fluid supply device which supplies a temperature control fluid in form of gas to the first flow passage in such a manner that the temperature control fluid is condensed on an inner wall surface of the first pressure bonding unit that partitions the first flow passage to adjust the first pressure bonding surface to a first heating temperature; and a pressure adjustment device which lowers an internal pressure of the first flow passage to promote vaporization of the temperature control fluid in form of liquid in the first flow passage in such a manner that the first pressure bonding surface is adjusted to a temperature lower than the first heating temperature.
