Device for sealing an overwrap envelope
An overwrap envelope (7) containing a filter bag (1) for infusion products comprises a sheet (2) of overwrapping material folded into a U shape along its transversal axis (X) around the filter bag (1). The overwrap envelope (7) has two longitudinal sides (3, 4) and one transversal side (5) sealed by at least two sealing lines (6) which are uninterrupted along the longitudinal sides (3, 4) and along the transversal side (5). Each scaling line (6) is defined by two longitudinal stretches and one transversal stretch which are joined to obtain an uninterrupted shape and which form an uninterrupted perimeter seal.
Device and method for manufacturing a bag received in an envelope
The present invention relates to a device and a method for manufacturing a bag received in an envelope and containing a brewable material with a bag manufacturing means which is configured to manufacture a bag containing brewable material, and with a sealing station with a sealing jaw element and a counter-jaw element which act on the envelope from opposite sides to seal in the bag. The device is further developed for a reliable and safe manufacture of the packing unit consisting of a bag and an envelope by the sealing jaw element being fixed to a sealing jaw swivel arm at which a sealing jaw connecting rod is applied, and the counter-jaw element being fixed to a counter-jaw swivel arm at which a counter-jaw connecting rod is applied, and by the sealing jaw connecting rod and the counter-jaw connecting rod being each eccentrically connected to a common drive shaft of a servomotor. In the method according to the invention, the contact force between the sealing jaw element and the counter-jaw element is controlled via the torque of the servomotor actuating the sealing jaw element and/or the counter-jaw element.
Method of fastening structural metal reinforcement on a portion of a gas turbine blade made of composite material, and an injection mold for performing such a method
A method of fastening structural metal reinforcement on a portion of a gas turbine blade made of composite material and an injection mold for performing the method, the method including positioning the structural metal reinforcement in an injection mold, positioning the portion of the blade onto which the structural metal reinforcement is to be fastened in the injection mold, the portion of the blade and the structural metal reinforcement being positioned relative to each other in their final relative position while leaving between them a gap, injecting adhesive into the gap between the structural metal reinforcement and the portion of the blade onto which the structural metal reinforcement is to be fastened, and polymerizing the adhesive.
Protective textile sleeve with hot melt fixation, end fray prevention layer and methods of construction and application thereof
A protective textile sleeve having enhanced end fray resistance and being adapted to be bonded to an elongate member extending therethrough, and method of construction thereof, are provided. The sleeve has a wall with a cavity bounded by an innermost surface extending between opposite open ends. A first material, including a hot melt adhesive material, facilitating bonding the wall to an outer surface of an elongate member extending therethrough, is bonded to the wall immediately adjacent the opposite ends, and a second material, facilitating prevention of end fray of the wall ends, including an elastomeric material is bonded to the wall immediately adjacent the opposite ends.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEALING A PLASTIC ENCLOSURE
A method and apparatus for sealing a plastic enclosure is provided. The apparatus includes a handle including elements pivotally coupled together at a first end. The apparatus also includes a heating element positioned along an inner surface of an element and connected to a power source where a longitudinal axis of the heating element is oriented parallel with a longitudinal axis of the element. Plastic material including first and second plastic layers is positioned at an interface between the second elements. Upon pivoting the first elements from an open position to a closed position the heating element increases a temperature at the interface to melt the plastic material and form a seal between the first and second plastic layers.
Device for the manufacture of sporting goods
Described are methods for the manufacture of sporting goods, in particular a shoe, sporting goods manufactured by such methods, for example a shoe, as well as a device for performing such methods. The method for the manufacture of sporting goods, in particular a shoe, is provided, wherein the sporting goods has a first component with a first connection surface and a second component with a second connection surface. The method includes activating at least one portion of the first connection surface by providing heat energy without contact, and connecting the first component with the second component by joining the first connection surface and the second connection surface.
Sealing Device
A sealing device incorporated in a packaging machine heat-seals a vicinity of a bag mouth of a packaging bag. Paired heater bars are disposed opposite each other so as to be openable/closable and hold the vicinity between them when closed, thereby heat-sealing the vicinity. A link mechanism converts rotation of an output shaft of a servomotor to an opening/closing operation of the heater bars . A storage unit stores seal patterns, each of which includes a sealing pressure applied to the parts and a sealing time period for which the parts are continuously held. A selection unit is configured to select one seal pattern. The output shaft is rotated by a predetermined closing angle according to the sealing pressure of the selected seal pattern to close the heater bars. The heater bars are maintained in the closed state for the sealing time period of the selected seal pattern.
METHOD OF USING ULTRASONIC VIBRATION TO SECURE BODY TISSUE
A suture and a suture retainer are positioned relative to body tissue. Ultrasonic vibratory energy is utilized to heat the suture retainer and effect a bonding of portions of the suture retainer to each other and/or to the suture. Portions of the body tissue may be pressed into linear apposition with each other and held in place by cooperation between the suture and the suture retainer. The suture retainer may include one or more portions between which the suture extends. The suture retainer may include sections which have surface areas which are bonded together. If desired, the suture may be wrapped around one of the sections of the suture retainer. The suture retainer may be formed with a recess in which the suture is received. If desired, the suture retainer may be omitted and the sections of the suture bonded to each other.
Method for bonding polymer film and polymer film, method for bonding polymer film and inorganic material substrate, polymer film laminate, and laminate of polymer film and inorganic material substrate
The present invention provides a method for firmly and inexpensively bonding at low temperature a polymer film to another polymer film or to a glass substrate without the use of an organic adhesive. A method for bonding a polymer film includes a step (S1) for forming a first inorganic material layer on part or all of a first polymer film; a step (S3) for forming a second inorganic material layer on part or all of a second polymer film; a step (S2) for surface-activating the surface of the first inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; a step (S4) for surface-activating the surface of the second inorganic material layer by bombarding with particles having a predetermined kinetic energy; and a step (S5) for abutting the surface-activated surface of the first inorganic material layer against the surface-activated surface of the second inorganic material layer and bonding the first polymer film and second polymer film together.
